I'm not going to get into an argument about this, my grievance is not with Wakefield Trinity Wildcats it is with the RFL. However surely this I'd not a matter of which club had the best application. The criteria for the standard of stadia was not met by Wakefield, the did not reach the minimum required. Therefore the rest of their bid should be null and void as they have failed to reach the minimum standard required.
No matter which area this happened in, it surely means the whole application is not up to the minimum standard.

Fax do not meet the minimum criterion for youth e.g. a functioning scholarship etc...does that make their application null and void also?

It's easier to set up a scholarship (and end one) - ask marillion man, than it is to build a stadium (ask any fan of fax, wakey, cas, salford, oldham, swinton et cetera, et cetera). We had a scholarship not long ago.

If that is the case then fine, you fully deserve your place in SL over Fax. However Halifax were informed by the RFL that their bid met the minimum required and would be graded along with all other bids. If Wakefield did not meet the minimum required then they would not of should not have been graded along with all others.

Right now, 99% of what people are saying is speculation as the RFL have not explained anything.

If a bid can be submitted with areas that are not up to minimum but still be considered for a licence, surely featherstone, barrow, Leigh, Toulouse etc would be in the mix too

No club in the Championship do or can afford to, nor would Wakefield or any other SL club without the money from Sky. We cut our cloth accordingly without any sky money and have managed to produce a top drawer club on a smaller budget than Wakefield failed to pay HMRC which is purely negligent. The RFL have openly stated Championship clubs can't afford the luxury of a scholarship. Do you think we like to see our young local talent jogging off to Bradford, Wigan etc - we simply can't compete. For you to try compare these application pitfalls is pitiful. One area that is a level playing field (pardon the pun) is stadia and managing finance and these are both areas Wakefield and other clubs can't match Halifax but to protect the priviledged few the RFL protect by moving the goal posts. We can't match SL criteria on scholarships as pointed out but BV is a fossil of a ground and a dump and a black hole to throw money at if it is to improve?? We have been well and truly shafted end of!!

No sorry I think you are missing the point.
3 years ago when the criteria was announced administration would exclude clubs.
Widnes fans above all people should remember this as you were unfairly booted out with this as the reason to allow Crusaders in.
Likewise stadiums were high on the agenda, so of the clubs go with this in mind and work their socks off to do what the RFL has told them to do,and this is the point.

Sometime into the process the RFL then change the criteria without explanation or consultation, not once or twice but just whenever they please.

The reason for this was clearly so that their favoured clubs that were failing to do what the RFL had deemed necessary had the criteria amenda so that they were now ticking boxes that had never been there at the start and boxes that were there at the start suddenly dissapeared literally overnight.

Halifax have been told both in the past and more recently by the RFL what they had to do and they have done it.

The reward not even to be given a grade C license, this means either the advise that was given was bad advise or they were being used to suit the RFL's appearance of fair play.

Either way the RFL not Halifax have directed the ship and it's now run a ground.

Missing out on Super League has not caused all the anomosity if we don't qualify against a fixed un tampered with set of rules on a level playing field then fair enough.

Being lied to, having our intelligence insulted as if we don't know, hell everyone can see it then that's a different matter and if anyone thinks that this type of conduct by any governing body is acceptable then someone has just crept in and stolen our game.

Yes but will you be saying that when Fev are the next victims which they will be.
They can finnish top and win every trophy avaiable which the way they are playing they may well do
but it will amount to nothing.
In fact they allready have been victims by removing promotion and relegation.
Remember this fiasco applies to ALL clubs not just Fax.
Don't become so drunk on the wine of Halifax's losing out that you fall into the hole the RFL has dug.
Gloat all you like but what goes around comes around.
