Total RL have another one on face book that does specifically mention cougar park.
Survival at cougar park, possibly yes as a stop gap, if the club make money off takings from the bar, and it is made clear that it's a stop gap for a season whilst something is built or something else is arranged.
For all us fans who don't go every game you may pick up a few fromKeighley who may support both clubs as RL fans but you would then have to factor In cost. I wouldn't get season tickets as we walk to the shay and its 15 minutes. We have a few drinks, south stand bar after for 1 then into three pigeons. The boys a ball boy and we have a good day and a few drinks. Would we drive over to cougar park?. Sometimes yes but not every week. My old mans a season ticket holder but hasn't bothered watching half the games this year due towhats being dished up and isn't bothering next year.
Unfortunately the sad state of what we have watched this year is a massive shame as momentum has gone into reverse.

| If we play at Keighley I certainly won't be going, there used to about 6-7 of us go now it's just me so along with poor rugby and the travelling I'll be saving my brass and picking up the odd snippet on radio Rhino.
Not sure what it's all about, maybe just posturing to the council, who knows but I reckon it will cost more in the long term if we play at Keighley. I also do not see another stadium being built in the Fax anytime soon, so we either stay there or come back on a better deal.

| I for one, would be fine with just the East Stand open if the council insist on employing too many stewards and gorilla response team.
Is there no way the ground can be re-assesed so we don't require doormen and outsourcing of stewards for Rugby League games?

Me too , though it's nice to have the door opened to the bar.

| I like the Shay. Facilities are good and we usually win there.

| If Fax move away from the Shay and you do the maths even over just 12 home league games it won't take many to decide not to go to Keighley or anywhere else to lose far more than any potential savings in rent.
Let's say it's Cougar Park and just 100 don't go even as low as £15 a head it's £1500 a game x 12 games £18,000 grand a year and for every hundred above that of course twice that amount etc etc which they would have to save in rent in the new venue.
Factor in other home games and anything above £15 a head and it's easy to see there's more to lose than to gain.
If we played somewhere else for free we could easily be worse off financially if people in any numbers decide not to travel and if the move fails any u turn would lead to even worse state of affairs than now.
I know the above figures are just basic guesstimates but give an idea of what's involved.
What am I am missing, it doesn't add up either on the balance sheet or on the common sense sheet.

That's because recently we have thought every day is Christmas Day and have been giving away presents by the sack full.
We need desperately to start being Scrooge.

| I've had a season ticket every year for around 30 years, but I won't be getting one and will probably pick and choose games that I attend if we leave the Shay. I probably go to around half of our away games, but each time I have to juggle things and/or I'm in a mad rush as I have other commitments on Sunday mornings. I can leave home at 14:40 for a game at the Shay and know exactly where I can park as well, but games at Cougar Park would be like an away game in terms of logistics for me getting there.

| Might be wrong, often am.
Fax threatened the council with leaving, they accepted and refused to talk further.
Own goal?
Come on directors, silence is not golden.

That's how I see it. As if the council would give a flying one. We've been nothing but a pain in the proverbial of late!
From the highs of the middle 8s to this apparent shambles and make or break time in 12 months!
Think it's time for the club to talk before the rumours get worse

| Leaving the Shay isn't good for anyone. Not good for us if we have to play outside Halifax - loss of support
Not good for the council - they lose income
Not good for FCHT - only club at the Shay, they have stump up more for their rent which they wont be able to afford.

| I'd be happy to stay on with reduced matchday costs. Just use East Stand.
Make reserved central seat Season tickets a little more expensive than seats near the South and North Stands. Ability to "swap sides" at half time.
Open the South or North v Bradford, Hull KR (?) & maybe Featherstone. Problem solved. Reduced costs, no rent increase required.
I actually expect this to happen, rather than the worst case scenario, ie, Keighley

That makes perfect sense, but they do need to say what they're planning when they start selling season tickets.
