Best performance of the season by some distance, we would beat anyone in this league with a performance like that. Hopefully we can now kick on and replicate somewhere near that performance in the rest of our games. I still believe we have the 2nd best group of players in the league but for whatever reason we have under performed for much of the season. We know we are capable I just think the belief is not there at times.

I came away from the Leigh Beadford game feeling a little deflated, I felt on that game we were no where near those two.
As I say, me of little faith, wrong, again.
We are as good as them, remember whilst we lost at Blackpool we kicked on from there, let's do it again.

Ian, Fev looked awful because of how Fax played. We've already beaten the bullies and a Fax on form can beat anyone in this league. We've been so inconsistent this season it's been untrue, but if Marshall has finally seen the light we are back on't right hoss! Beware, The Fax are coming!

One swallow does not a summer make, but Fax's barnstorming finish to last season and into the middle eights was on the back of performances where all 17 players gave 110%, kept to the game plan, but also played with almost childish enthusiasm. That's what we saw for the first time this season yesterday.

I've just watched the game again, and the general play was much more even than I remember. It was those telling moments when players were under pressure, or needed to go that little extra for the team. Yep, we didn't have any bad breaks in terms of bad bounces or refereeing decisions (the ref was almost flawless, well done, with only the video ref getting it hopelessly wrong by not awarding the penalty try), but our goal line defence finally clicked into gear.

Fev were awful because Fax made it so.

If (a very big IF) that was the catalyst for performances through to the end of the season, then Fax will be in the top 4.

Pete I love your way of thinking,at one point yesterday all a Fev player had to do was fall to the ground and he would have scored

but made a mess of it, Fev ,were dire,by their own Fans admission,you say on form you can beat ANY team in the League,I agree there , But Fev last 3 games has seen them play outstanding and looked what happened yesterday.
The Final 8 games of the season to reveal who makes the Top 4 should be very interesting,I think you can safely say Leigh, London, and Bradford are nailed on, but yourselves, Fev, and Batley will be busting a gut to make the 4th spot, anything can happen.As for the Fax are Coming,welcome to the LSV in July,it WILL be HOT.

Very true Sparky, I said to the Fev fans I was sat with, Fax's rolling defence was brilliant,you had Fev covered every angle,and as you say one game doesn't make you Champs, you have it all to do against the Seagulls on Sunday.

Nobody not even me knows what Hock and Acton will receive by the way of suspensions ,or Mickey Higham,but we have Patterson and Fui,near ready to return,along with Dixon and we could bring Spencer back from Oldham, don't worry I'm not.As for Riddy?He is fit it's down to Jukesy who plays at half back, Drinkwater and Reynolds are doing OK, McNally is not far off full fitness,and don't be surprised to see a new signing

for the coming 8s, we will all be fit for the visit of Fax in July, even Frank and myself.
