| Well....If i was Featherstone i would be fuming. They played an almost perfect game only for the ref to screw 'em at the end with that ridiculous penalty decision. The Rovers player was clearly not held. Disgraceful. Hard lines 'Fev.

| I think you will find when we beat Sheffield the other week, Andy Ellis never played due to illness, so the above comment isnt quite right! When he does play its at the same level each week, very good, i would say he is our player of the season so far. Good luck for sunday and will maybe see you in Blackpool!

You've only just noticed that? The first class honours graduate of the school of Toa Kohe-Love has always done that, along with the same sort of play as TKL.

| Fev were unlucky they put in a top effort, Barra looked tired after the game against us the Sunday before.
It was a tense game but typical cup match, not great but both sides tried hard.
Barra are just a hard team to beat, not flash but tackle well.
I have nothing against them they deserve some good times but I have to say they are not SL material as a club, no way.
They would need to spend millions on their ground, its nowhere near SL standard and there was not that good an atmosphere saying it was a cup semi final, okay Fev only took about 100 but it was a Thursday night, but you could not hear much from the home fans most of the game.
I hope they enjoy their time while Mr Money bags is around but feel once he goes they will sink quickly back down to lower Championship level.

Not sure about this. Yes, the ground needs improvement, but at least they own it so that's a start. Getting the council or a good sponsor on Board might help to make improvements. Also the weight of the stadium criteria is clearly being over-emphasised as we saw in the last round of Franchises and given the lack of progress at SL clubs it will not be an issue next time round.
As far as crowds are concerned, well Fax can hardly crow as Barrow are matching if not beating their crowds in their first year in the championship despite the excellent performances that Fax are putting on on the field.
Finally, and probably crucially, they have geography on their side. Do you really think the RFL would pick an 8th Yorkshire club over a first Cumbria club if everything else is equal?

What an arrogant buffoon.
The atmosphere was superb - better than at Fax last Sunday, believe me.
Regarding Des Johnston and his cash input, we've been hearing the same rubbish about 'it won't last' for the last 3 years. The truth is, it's just started. Des see's this season as just the start of things and is going nowhere.
Why are fans like you so bitter ??
We know our stadium needs a lot of work - we don't need it pointing out week after week, especially from fans of clubs who don't actually have a stadium to call their own.
Plans are due to be announced soon to completely redevelop Craven Park. A lot of work has been going on over many months to make sure that everything is in place before any official announcement.
Our average crowds are only 200-300 lower than Fax and are on par or higher than with well established Champ clubs like Leigh and Haven. Given that we don't get as many away fans as the M62 clubs, I'd say that we get more home fans attending games than all clubs bar Widnes and Fax on a good day.
And this in just our first year in the Championship. Next year we should find it much easier to recruit class players as we have proved we aren't going to be recently promoted whipping boys.
Get used to it - we're here to stay.
BTW I thought that fans I met at Halifax last week were top class. Just a minority on here seem to have a very patronising view of Barrow RL - despite the fact that we've been around since the 1890's and have had many great players and teams over the decades.

| Some people seem to think that Barrow have been given the nod off the RFL for Super League entry.
Yes Craven Park needs upgrading, typically 30's style build similar to St Helens at the moment. But it belongs to the debenture holders and it is OURS. If ever it were to be sold, it is in a prime position (real estate wise) and would be worth a small fortune. Possibly enough to ponder a new stadium.
Until the Iron Lady moved all the county boundaries, Barrow was in Lancashire, alas now Cumbria.

| those who are suggesting there was no atmosphere are just plain wrong.
watching the game gives no indication of what it was like to be at the game, the noise of the crowd is drowned out considerably. The atmosphere was better than that of the Shay last sunday, you simply had to be there to experience it, in which you do with most games. I dont understand why you fax fans have such a bitter grudge against us. Ok, i think we can all admit barrow wouldnt be in the position we are in today without the money des has brought in, but so what ? Atleast the guy has ambitions and passion regarding the sport itself, i think fax fans need to get over them selves and just accept the position barrow are in at the moment
