How bitter are the Batley fans? Its a good read on their forum, just need that guy to turn up on ours spouting off about how us Fax fans always think we should beat Batley. What has made them so bitter towards us, like i said before i think it can only be jealousy but god knows why after the season they have had, competing with the best teams in the league, just a shame they ran in to the best team in knockout rugby in the competition.

That performance wouldnt be enough to beat either Fev or Leigh, because Batley were rudderless to be honest. Mennell is poor, his kicking game was dire, every single one straight to the full back and when Handforth didn't come out for the second half,the writing was well and truly on the wall.
If I was a halifax fan I would know that the performance against a Leigh or Featherstone would need to be 50% improvement, and also would need to be better to get through the next round away to Widnes or sheffield

Now come on, don't read ' the Batley fans' as all of us. I think you will find that most accepted defeat as it should be. You played well, deserved the win, and will still worry whoever you play next.

I have a theory that all posters of the losing team should not be allowed to post until at least the day after. Read the thread where the guy moans about the ref, and how he eventually, over time, changes his mind!!

It's how it is. Personally, I am delighted with our season, thought we gave you a game last night, and am really looking forward to next season.

You are probably right there DD, I have posted with emotion in the past only to have to retract later. I have even decided not to post until the dust settles and then get drawn in....

My only worry about last night was the number of missed tackles. The stats at half tine showed we missed 12 to Batleys 1. I don't know if this improved in the second half, just going to watch it now.

Agree with you their mate, Emotions run very high just after a close loss. There are some posters that give every forum a bad taste in the opossing fans mouths, Batley have a few on their saying we are all big time charlies etc and due to the nature of the game a few of the Fev Muppets throw in their insults for good measure, Some on here call Batley the little club etc and its probably quite infuriating to read it .

Batley have had a amazing 2 seasons and long may it continue for you, just lets share the wins next year hey. No more of the 4 games to you 1 to us rubbish. Share and Share alike i say.

You mean the only Team in the League to beat both these teams this year ?. Remember the NRC final, ONly just lost in the last few seconds. Wetime went to leigh and destroyed them the first game of the season, We knocked Fev out of the NRC again very close game.

Do not right Fax off, do so at your peril, As stated they are big game players who rise when needed.

Good post DD and you are right it's only a very small minority of Batley fans that always use the same statements which include "arrogant" "big time charlies" etc etc, in their haste to have a go at Sam Barlow they were saying the Barlow try was never a try, well they were right because he didn't even score it was Bannister who did clearly ground the ball.
The small number of Fev fans that claim to support Batley are actually just using any oppourtunity to have a go at Fax and take great delight in anything that goes against us.
The bottom line is because it was Fax that knocked them out of the final elliminator in 2009.
Beat them in last years grand final and knocked them out of the NRC semi this year.
The pain of these defeats is what is behind it all and has nothing to do with their so called support of your club,no matter what happens in the future history is history and can't be changed.

Irrespective of what these few say I hope Batley and Fev remain at the top of their game because they deserve it.
It is shear hard graft and with all the efforts that it takes just to survive in Rugby League these days.

It most certainly is not! I've seen Fev lose far bigger games than those - and I'll see us lose again. Losing a game of rugby is an emotion I can manage.

Doubt you will be allowed to play at Bramhall Lane on a Friday if there is football on a Sat.
Almost certainly have to play on a sunday, which would be a big disadvantage as you would have to play the following Thursday

Sheffield and their ground fiasco has been nothing short of a farce with the fixtures this year, if they cant sort it for next year then surely time to pop off into CH1 and let York stay up. Fixtures at least fair then.
