| It' can't be good for team spirit. Player A prepareds for a game during the week, RM gets a phone call on the Thursday that HKR want us to give Player X game time, he can of course say no but that risks damaging the relationship with HKR. Player A gets told after training on Thursday that he won't be featuring, won't be up for a win bonus because someone is being shipped in from outside.
An emphatic no from me. Lets just do the best we can and build organically, if it takes us time so be it.

You'd be lucky to get the call as early as Thursday. Unless it was for a Friday night game.

| I think it seems a bit odd that there are folks on here who say Duel Reg is OK if we are the lead club but not if were D/R with a super league club.
I think if we do go down that route either as lead club or not out BOD and coaching staff will have thought long and hard about how to manage it and Im sure will have ground rules set out for the other club as to how HRLFC want and expect it to work.
Last season was new to D/R and maybe it just wasn't used/legislated well enough or abused by clubs instead of it being used for the good intent of progressing promising young Super League fringe players. HRLFC has had time to look at how other clubs faired last season and we will be in a better possession to manage the D/R system should we decide to use it.
Watching FaxTV and listening to RM I'm very impressed by how articulated and clearly he answers the questions put to him. He comes over as a chap who calmly speaks with well thought out answers about his job which is his passion about.
I think he will be a great coach and front man for the club (lets hope we get lots of positive RL media coverage young British coach etc). I'm very excited about 2015 and feel the club is moving in the direction we all crave. Well done Fax and bring on the season.

A good post and i share your enthusiasm for 2015.Just your initial point. Why is it odd that i for one am against DR as a feeder club but not as a parent club.DR with a s/l club has been done on this thread but as the parent club we would be able to send out our players who aren't to feature in our matchday 17 for proper game time and can be called back whenever we want. What is the downside to this,i can't see one.

I didn't say there was and up or down side to either side of D/R. I was pointing out that folk are happy to be the master and not the slave. I'm not saying your views and thoughts are wrong. People don't like the idea of Fax being used by another club for that clubs benefit. So, how do they justify feeling OK about using a lower division for our own use. I'm sure supporters of that club wouldn't like it. I think we should have loans, short term, long term whatever but not D/R. just my view

I'm no fan of Dual Registration but Duel Registration would be awesome.
Imagine the crowds to watch the two coaches with pistols at ten paces, the winner to have the player in his squad that weekend.

Great idea Gregg, but, some people would still moan, your coach was a 47 seater and ours was only 13.
Your paces are larger than out paces.
I can hear them now, I'm never going to watch my team if they bring in Duel Registration, after all I said I would never watch Summer Rugby, never watch if we left Thrum Hall and as for decimalisation I said that would never work.
Mmmmmm.
