| Quote: kelvbinns "Never heard of Charlie Renilson and I thought you knew something about Rugby Charlie! He was a Great Britain Loose Forward in the sixties. Played in the days of Scroby, Roberts, Foggarty, Dixon et al. Can never remember him missing a tackle but then I might be bias, as he was my favourite Fax player of all time
Charlie R was my boyhood hero too Kelvin. Though it could easily have been you after you slammed a timekeeper into the wall at Thrum Hall. Charlie would have been proud of that cover tackle.
A bit disappointing yesterday but fair play to Fev they found a weakness and exploited it then shut game down. we havent been able to close a game down when in front like that a few times this season.
Roll on playoffs.

| If you people wish to watch that garbage week in week out, enjoy yourselves while you're there.
Charlie never heard of Charlie Renilson ? Embarrassing comment lad, hang your head in shame, you know relatively nothing.
When he packed up to go back to Aus, he gave my old man one of his Fax shirts with the number 13 on the back.

Well I feel I must hang my head then , as I have never heard of the said player , I have seen the others play ie. Scroby ,Dixon , Roberts ,and Foggarty ,and remember Johnny Freeman , who I met at the Fax v Leigh game , ive been watching Leigh since 1961 ,the Stan Owen and Walt Tabern era , but don't remember Renilson , and I visited Thrum Hall every year .

If you visited Thrum Hall every year, since around 2000 it's been an Asda, you can order online it's easier than a 70 odd mile round trip, they'll deliver to your door you know. Just trying to be helpful that's all.

| Well I've waited 24 hours to calm down and be able to find summat positive to say about yesterdays game. The trouble is I haven't and I can't. KH's comment before the game "we will have to be at our best to even get anywhere near Featherstone" set the tone and says it all about his approach to the game. Totally 2nd best in every aspect of the game yesterday against a Rovers side in disarray and shorn of half of their 1st choice players, an absolutely disgraceful display from Halifax RLFC. At least I met MM in Dirty Dicks and had a good rugby natter with him. Rat & Rat. Mallinsons Cascade 4.0 % Mmm!

| Quote: Fevxr2i ".....and thats why we let you have Saxton! What a big choke against us! Hardman and crookes ripped his confidence in that first half, the other ex fev contingent not much better'"
Saxton wasnt to blame for any of the 4 tries.
Quote: Fevxr2i "Scott murrell best half outside SL? Do me a favour! Abysmal kicking game yet again, always found wanting when we show up in town'"
Best 13 actually, just our coach does not realise it.
Quote: Fevxr2i "Fieldhouse only fax player who can hold his head up high today '"
Our coach does not rate him enough to offer him a new contract. The lad should be ready to step up to SL but instead has gone stale under a coach with no clue how to get the best out of him. Luckily the move to Dewsbury should turn out to be very good for him.

not sure I agree with that. best full back i've seen this year was Tierney from Workington although I know he is a Wigan lad

| Sorry but cant agree about fieldhouse. I think he is overrated. Doesn't run ball back hard enough but goes sidewards, often mistimes his runs into the line and doesn't straighten up and cant pass in either direction. Give me Miles Greenwood any day .

F.A.O. Charlie from the Leigh suburb of Wigan, Dirty Dicks is the name of a boozer, just worth mentioning i think !
Yeah, t'was good to chat with you & mrs Huddshay, i was probably supping Blonde 3.9% in there i reckon. Unfortunately, i only ever do the rugby AND drinking theme when the Fev lads are in town, or when we're in one of the finals/play-offs & i travel on the club buses. Fortunately, the ale numbed the memories of the rugby match.
