| Lost for words.
Except to say our next few seasons just became extremely difficult and the mediocrity of mid table oblivion in front of our lowest ever crowds has just been assured.
Pats on the back all round

To be fair we could have easily won every game we have lost so in that respect we are not far off but i just think under a different coach who could get the best out of players ie. a Daryl Powell, Mark Aston and looking like Paul Rowley type coach I think we would have done a lot better.

| I for one thought this was great game and could have gone either way. Dewsbury just about deserved the win with both sides playing with verve, enthusiasm and commitment. Fax did lack a bit of nous in their 20 but both Rams and our defence was awsome. When the best "try" of the game was fluffed by Thackery I thought we would go on to win but just wasnt to be. Dews fans were shouting "pass the ball" !Umm heard that somehwhere before, South Stand?
I think we have been unlucky- Batley game - unprofessional - Leigh game, and if we had won these everyone would be happy. I have said before this league is so competative any game is tough to call. The squad is in top 4 in competition and lets cheer em on.

| Dews are not a bad side , I predicted a Dews win , and get no pleasure from being right , it isn't all over yet , but your results must improve very soon , you don't need me to tell you that , but it can change , maybe KH is not the man to do it , I don't know , but again your BOD must act very soon .Halifaxjohn , I hope to see you soon , and some of my other Fax Friends .

| BONUS POINT RUGBY. Reading this thread It makes me wonder if some of the contributors actually go and watch the games or do they get their information from the Courier website or from Radio Smarmy.
If they go to the games, it might be an idea to take off their rose tinted glasses during the match. Then they could see the drab, dreary, dull, dismal, dire and dreadful defensive rugby that the rest of us have to endure.
Declining attendences tell a tale, post match interviews tell another. A coach instructing his team to take a kick at goal from the centre spot with an out of confidence goalkicker, scores tied and 18 minutes to play, tells yet another. I have been watching Halifax regularly for many, many years. During this time I have seen some great coaches.......Les Pearce, Maurice Bamford & Chris Anderson to name a few. There have also been some poor coaches.....Jim Crellin, Ross Strudwick & Steve Sims spring to mind. Ask yourself honestly which category KH falls into ....and try not to let nostalgia and sentiment rule your head.
If the rumour that KH has been given a new three year contract is true, then call the nurse because Mr Croad is out of bed again !

It's more a case of being realistic than being happy.
Fax are not the best side at the moment and it's not just down to the coach, the other sides haven't just stood still.
Todays opponents, Dewsbury are a much better side than they were 3 years ago, they along with everyone else want to win games just as much as we do, there not going let us turn up and walk over them regardless of who the coach is.
Todays game after saying it's going to be close and too hard to call with the lead changing hands on several occasions and ends up with 2 points in it why are we surprised at the result?
There are a few very experienced coaches in this division who's teams are not exactly doing anything special.
When KH took over the club it was partly because of fans calling for Calland's head even though we were the second best club in the division, still not good enough.
It was Calland hasn't got a clue, he's rubbish bring in KH look what he has done at Batley, trust in KH, trust in the Rhino. How different now.
The point being.
The BOD probably listened then but now know even when the coach is replaced who can predict his successor would be any better?
Maybe they do know what they are doing based on past experience and are thinking long and hard at the options.
Only Leigh and Fev are clearly better than the rest at the moment and they have spent a lot more than Fax have to get there, outside of these any of the remaining contenders can get the result on any given day against each other.
Will the investment of the big spending 2 show dividends, there's no guarantee.
The truth will be seen when the teams merging form SL and Championship kicks in next year when the big spending Leigh and Fev come up against the SL sides, the SL teams still have a significant advantage.
If Leigh and Fev fail it could come back to bite them big time and it would be the same for us, maybe not as bad as it seems to see how it works out over the next year or so.

| Can anyone honestly see a Harrison team beating the two relegated St teams? I can't. We have gone backwards and I think we are back to where we were before Hall and Callander came along. I would rather take a chance on another coach than accept poor standards for another three years.

| Calland and hall had a much bigger budget than Karl and if fans stay away then next year the budget will be smaller! Stop moaning and get behind the team! This is sport and nobody has a right to win you have to earn it! I will be there good or bad because it's my team!
We are not out of the race yet and games won or lost in the last seconds are thrilling ! Sometimes it goes your way but today it didn't !!! We will be back ask Charlie!!!

| Your board will never sack Harrison unless you're bottom of the league. In short, they're scared of him. It's that simple. He's a Rasputin-esque figure.

Totally agree - whatever we think about KH we need to get behind the team. We have some cracking players who are busting a gut - IMO it will stat to come good.

| I never once called for Calland out, but I have had enough of watching a team playing with no confidence at all.
The club is in freefall. Fans are fed up, so they stay away. Smaller budget next season, smaller squad playing against ex Superleague teams and top 2 championship teams, with larger budgets, more downward spiral.
Unfortunately as much as others shout for everyone to get behind their team, people are not going to turn up and pay to watch this type of rugby, therefore the only people who can turn this around is the BOD.
