Think player jtfev is referring to is Tonks, although he wasnt a fev player last season but does look a shadow of his former self than when he was with us

I mean the best scrum half outside S/L IMO. I didn't know Murrell was a scrum half for you but if he is he also is a class player at this level there's no question about that I see a good half back as one that's involved alot in the game comes away with points and he is very rarely touched on the field and Liam's that If you have signed him you got a good one but someone needs to let him know

If you've signed Mennell to play at scrum-half (as has been rumoured), then you're in bother next season. Mind you, if you've signed him to play at hooker then you're in bother too. I like Karl Harrison, despite the acrimonious nature of his move to Fax. He did wonders for us and dragged us into respectability after years of struggle. However, signing Mennell for yourselves is a move that really calls his judgement into question - as does his persistence with Wayne Reittie.

Why was his departure acrimonious?

Not seen much of Mennell and the Batley guys will know a lot more about him but from what I have heard he has not set the world on fire this season.

Apparently he has the ability and it remains to be seen if KH can get the best out of him.

It would only ramp up the pressure on the big man if we didn't sign the right man again for such a key posistion that has been such a problem for us since Penky left.

Wayne Rettie, well not all the Fax fans rate him but after the disastrous start with the club due to the sending off and then the facial injury he has gradually improved and played as well as or better than anyone else in the back line recently IMO.

No point knocking someone on auto pilot mode.

Rettie has been one of our better players of late. If half the side showed his determination, his drive and actually - his meters gained then we wouldn't be sat here lamenting our recent decline.

Tonks must have been a world beater for Fev because he has been our best prop AINEC. I have yet to see him have a bad game for us.

Obviously these experts don't attend the Fax matches but with informative people like Griff and Charlie Clownolie posting on here every five minutes they don't need to.

Tich it is a free Country , and Charlie is never influenced by anyone who resorts to infantile name calling , as I said the Rubbish I post on these Forums is just as good as the RUBBISH you post , difference is I don't resort to insults , Charlie is a very patient Clown , and can wait .

Mennell is a good tough player and will do all the cr@p hard stuff. He can tackle as well so wouldn't need to defend on the wing. Not an 80 mins hooker by any means but grafts. Just my opinion having seen him up close for a couple seasons. That is if he has signed? Not seen anything announced/formal?

Mennell would be an improvement but I fear we dont need tough players that will do the graft. We need a bit of speed and flair!
