Quote: halifaxjohn "Tony you can't have it both ways. When I suggested Murells kicking wasn't as good towards the end of the York game your main comment was "did you go to the game", now you are saying that question is none of any ones business, but it is obviously you business.'"

John mate ........ I asked if you went to the game last Sunday because you suggested that none of Murrell's (and I wish you'd spell it right) came to nothing, but you was WRONG - one of his kicks created a try. Whereas me pointing out that Fax are the most creative team in this division is RIGHT - they've scored the most points (it's there in black and white, it's a FACT), and Fax4Life was just being darn right rude by asking me a personal question which had nothing to do with anything. So it's not a matter of me "having it both ways". I'm having it one way - which happens to be the correct way.

Give up Tony you old wind up h025.gif Leading points scorers means leading point scorers, we've smashed sides to bit when were on song. Its tended to be literally that though and its more akin to effective than creative. Doing the same things over and over again, although creating more points than anyone can be termed as such, it doesn't imply new methods of attack or variation are created, it just measures more points have been created, creativity in the context of the threads argument is therefore valid as we are not creating anything new or original in our play by simply smashing the opposition behind the marker position until the opposition is flattened icon_lol.gif
I therefore call it a draw, and put the arguments down to semantics icon_wink.gif

Quote: Happy Hooker "I agree the bit about the ref being blind......................but so must you have been if you thought it was only Leigh being yards offside nearly every play.

No I totally agree with you that we were probably the same the only problem I have is that there were only about 3 penalties throughout the game for offside. How many did Halifax get? Zero. Its the inconsistency that winds people up and it makes it worse when you are sat directly in line which happened a lot given how much ball we had where we were sat. icon_biggrin.gif

I literally loled at KH`s interview in the courier. So he signed these players knowing their shortcomings and wonders why our attack is so 1 dimensional. What was he expecting when in his own words we have a 6/7/9/13 who all shift the ball very slowly?

Creativity is without doubt the key word. The opposition can read us like a book.
110 % for effort tonight.

Bang on, as I said in the other thread we NEED a new hooker who knows the position and a decent number 7. Ideally I'd like us to convert Loose Forward back to a play-making position like we did with Beswick, so possibly/ideally another play-maker. We have the forwards and backs to run riot in this league its just about getting the ball to them.

Backs? In the backs we have Worrincy and Fieldhouse, the rest for me fail to impress or excite.

I said before, Patto for me now will never let you down and makes few errors but gone are his days of flying down the wing, he rarely makes a break, reminds me of alan hardcroft, Tyrer for me just doesn't cut it, Rettie I can see why he plays but he's a 2nd row on the wing in every aspect and way he plays, so we are 1 wing down. Heatons still learning but at some point has to step up.

Its ok saying you could do with better halfbacks, hooker or loose forward but were do you get them from? its unlikely the centurions, sheffield or fev are going to want to release players for you to sign and the players you've got are probably better than what the other clubs have hence why your 3rd in the table

Erm. Just a fiery youngster hanging on the fringes beats the journeymen every time IMO. Make of that what you will. icon_cool.gif

Like you say that wont help us this season though.

I honestly think with Thackeray and Heaton on the pitch lastnight it wouldn't have changed the result'"

Snowy - Leigh are average at best. How they beat Sheffield I will never know, cup fever perhaps.

I am gonna bear my ar5e and say that if we meet you again we will win. icon_lol.gif (perhaps when it counts). icon_mrgreen.gif

Quote: fax_insider "Tactics by Harrison is making us look like we lack creativity. Put Calland in charge of our squad now and we would score points..

Not that i'm saying Calland is better, but on the point of creativity Harrison needs to either employ an attacking coach or implement some of his knowledge effectively or we will not improve under him.'"

icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif There was "widespread relief" when "boring" Brian Noble came in to stop the rot under Calland, so PLEASE let's not start all this Calland nonsense again! Having followed the 'Fax for a period which has seen 20 coaches come and go, I can honestly say Karl Harrison is in my top 3. That says it all, don't yer think? crown.gif

Bringing Calland back is not an option, no one at the club would work with him.
Harrison will do for me, the season isn't over yet.
He is well respected by the board and they are the ones with a long term vision for the club.
Keep the faith.

Yeah i know you are, i was merely asking how you can question the title of the thread when you are basing your judgement on the 2 games we have played against Leigh this season.
