DOnt know what the problem is with the Batley fans. Fax (alongside Leigh and Fev) get much bigger crowds, more sponsorship,more money coming in and so can go out and afford the better players in this League. Sometimes circumstances do see the bigger spenders overspend or have money problems. However that has never happened at Batley due to a great well run club. But sadly for Batley they will never be one of the big clubs in the Championship like Halifax, Leigh, Fev or even Sheffield are. Batley cant keep hold of the best players as they simply dont have the money or power that others do. They do well to compete and the club have a great board. Batley fans need to get rid of the jealousy they possess and accept the Batley club for what it is and stop getting so upset at Halifax.

Widnes and their millionaire owner has failed to make them competitive so far and London continue to spend money in vain.wealth is not always the answer being happy in your own environment i.e the championship can have great rewards.

Batley have got classic little club syndrome. It makes me laugh how some of their fans act like Fax fans hate them or something yet most Fax fans have a lot of respect for a team doing so well on a shoestring. If they win today i expect the likes of distant dog to be on here gloating like never before and all his jealousy to pour out. Anyway i feel if we are on form we will win comfortably(he will try to ram these words down my throat if batley win, water of a ducks back though) but it could be really close because of the extra incentives that a win over Fax provided. Either way should be a good game and the jealous Batley fans should make for a good atmosphere.

In any case, this difference is hardly in proportion with respective population bases. I am, however, admittedly jealous that you have Wayne Reittie flying down your wing, and we don't. Who got the piggy back from the ginger one? He let you hold down and spoil the play of the ball for 75 minutes. Had he given the penalty when he shouted held and your players wouldn't let go perhaps Rettie wouldnt have had a brain fart and then who knows?

duuno about that.. watched him on prem sports for Batley and he was their dangerman that game as well.

He has an effective kicking game, pace and a big heart. His bad spell at fax came on the back of repeated injures I believe he should have been given a chance under Rhino and I was saying that before today.
