Yer I heard that too, that is very good news and we should all give the Council credit for this commitment in such difficult times and believe me as I work there these are
very hard times as the Council budget is being cut cut to shreds along with jobs and services being outsourced, those who hate the Council you got your revenge there will not be much left by 2014!
They could have easily said no as they need the money elsewhere but common sense and foresight has taken sway as if they do repair the North Stand and get an electronic scoreboard it makes the Shay as good as any stadium in the country at this size of stadium anyway rather than having a half done stadium with a wooden scoreboard (only used for RL anyway) putting the Shay in say the Conference League in football terms or the Championship in RL terms (remember both clubs are aiming higher us the SL and Town League 1 in the longer term).
