Just been on the Leigh clubs site and have you seen all their finals merchandise!! Blimey, well done to them looks good. Scrap that, it makes our effort embarassing.
Fans at Leigh too are coming up with their own ideas and just geting on with it , I particularly like the knotted hanky idea . A fan is producing them at £3 each and giving the money to their club which I think is a good idea. It`s cheap it`s tacky and everyone would buy one which just typifies Blackpool but they have 2 differant Leigh badges on theirs wheras I would have had FAX MAKES BLACKPOOL ROCK. and our Halifax badge.
It`s understandable the Club wants to make as much as possible out of this final but also people want to buy something daft as well it is Blackpool after all . I understand the Club are going to be selling things like that too so maybe leting people know when they are coming in would be enough to stop people buying elsewhere.

I agree, its a final in Blackpool, city of tatt. People are doing their own thing too. The we dont have time or a £45 shirt is good enough attitude doesn't sit. We should be going all out, its Wednesday now so only 10 days to go so if anythings going to happen it needs to be quick so people can get down to the shop and buy them. I know people in my group have asked me to try find scarves and hats and theres 15 of us going, flags too, Leigh have shown us how its done and good on them, Im sure an hours googling can bring in all this tatt in bulk that the club can make a small profit from, just spent 5 minutes looking myself and found plenty of options. |

Leigh have got it spot on in regards to available merchandise and availability of it. Even if it's 'just tat' it sends out the right message that they want fans in loads of Red and White gear.

| our car flags have the old badge on, probably from 2004 or 2006. but then again who cares! can't wait for blackpool!!!

Me (4icon_cool.gif and my son (13) are going over on the train. Bought Pleasure Beach tickets, and we'll be proudly in our blue and white regalia. Any red 'n' white will be met with due politeness and mutual enjoyment of a day out at the seaside.

We had a top craic with the HKR fans the day before our final in 2006, with Blackpool so busy during the summer there's a good buzz when you spot someone who's there for the rugby! |
