| We need 4705 on Sunday (lol!) to hit 2500 average.
If we have an "average" crowd, the season average will be 2255.
We've only had 3 attendances above 2500 (Widnes, Keighley and Leigh).
Looking at the stats, we have around 1700 Fax supporters for home games (so we need 3000 Batley supporters to turn out on Sunday!).
Tbh, I've had more enjoyment out of the last couple of seasons in NL than I probably would have done if we'd been in SL (this season has been particularly good in terms of not "knowing" results beforehand).
Bring back p&r, and then we'd have easily broken the 2500 average!!

Agreed. I'll always be there watching Fax, but I can understand how some people choose not to attend games anymore. There's nothing to play for.

Some people just like watching Rugby League played with excitement and frustration. The highs and the lows - even in this league. We certainly provide that!

Not wanting to get into an argument but we must have more than 1700 fans to get an average of 2255 as only Leigh brought a lot of fans, I would guess more like 1900 at least probably 2000 which aint bad really, Widnes only got 2600 last night.

| 2015 - Licence applications being taken.
There will be in the running, providing widnes are the only ones up this time and no one else goes down in 3 years.
Halifax
Featherstone
Leigh
Toulouse ( if they dont get in this time, or go back to france where they belong )
Barrow. ( if they get a ground etc )
Wakefield or Castleford ( if they have not been run into the ground and died a death, fans leaving etc )
Again when the time comes only one from Pooper league will come down, Leigh to go up because of their Impressive Sports Village. 2018 comes and i realise i'm 38 now, nothing has changed in 9 years, time to move on, and i wont be alone.

| Not sure where everyone says there is nothing to play for, OK maybe not promotion but the guys on the pitch play to win every game, and how good was that last season when we rolling everybody over?
RFL and Fat Boy are a disgrace and the whole system is a joke but I'd say to everyone - Come on Down, the rugby is great to watch, far better than SL Drive & Kick.
See you all on Sunday.

I have said before we have exactly the same to play for as the top teams in Superleague, that is the grand final win and the cudos that brings with it. After all when Wigan win the grand final this year, they dont get any promotion anywhere
I would prefer promotion and relegation, but thats not available so we play to win the grand final.... Shimples

| Because its flaming boring, Northern rail Cup, playing the same teams, Poor ones until the final stages, Challenge cup is about the best thing there is now cause at least you never know who your getting and what the outcome will be, If you like turning up every week watching the same teams week in week out.
Good games in the League are Barrow, Widnes, Leigh, Featherstone, Occasionally sheffield when they up for it. The rest are boring and predictable. Unless Fax slip up and this is due to the inconsistance of the ability of the teams, at least in super league your gaurenteed a hard game week in week out, Win, Lose or Draw.
So basically 8 games of the season are good to watch, the others are predictable rubbish, The Northern Rail is the Poor Mans Challenge cup, and i hate the RFL with a passion for what damage they have already done these past few years.

They get to play the World Club Challenge against the Best in the NRL, Not many Players get that Accolade in their career. There has to be a peak somewhere Spanish Bob and the top of the super league is it, they can then say this year we were the Best club in the UK !!!, Can we ?. Er, No, we cant even say we are the best team in West Yorkshire.

| IMO opinion the NRC failure and the Challenge Cup debacle have hit the club hard and I believe if neither happened our crowds would have grown and this would not happen.
Hardly surprising, £18 is extortionate for Championship Rugby, coupled with the prices for refreshments people can't afford it and when the team on the pitch is getting beat by teams from the division below as well as then being further embarrased by playing an ineligible player, people won't come, whether it be newbies, oldies or fairweather fans.

Cup I agree with, Cas last year was a prime example of that as the club can get somewhere so many people attended the game. But in the Championship for example, Barra' won the GF and yet the following season were still stuck in the same division. No wonder some people don't bother going to games. It's easy enough just to sit at home and read about it in the paper the following day, than forking out £15+ for a game that in some ways doesn't mean a whole lot. I know they play for the cash prize, but it's nothing compared to gaining promotion.

very true, if had stayed in both cups who knows what may have happened, more fans certainly and therefore more income.
will have hit the club very hard in the coffers..

plenty of teams in SL and in the premier league at football do not stand a chance of winning anything, but their respective fans still continue to follow and support the team why should it be any differant for fax fans, at least fax can strive to be the best outside SL.
