Why, do you assume once he is the finished article he will be in super league! Maybe his potential if he reaches it is a good championship player and he goe son to have a good career in this division, bit presumetious to say if a finished article he will be in super league, im sure he and all of us would love to see that, especially with fax but potential is nothing unless realised.

Nobody is pointing out his mistakes just for the sake of it, otherwise how is he going to improve his game if nobdy ever dare mention is weaker areas for fear of upsetting him or someone on here.

Nobody is going to just do what you want and only big up players even if they have obvious areas that need work on. Are we not allowed to criticize on here now infact I wouldnt even call it criticizing, and lets be fair, its not exactly harsh or putting him down, if you read my posts you will see myself and other saying yes great potential but needs work, why cant you accept that rather then say we are putting him down, cut him some slack, nobody is exactly slagging him off unless your the most sensitive person in the world.

Bentley and Preston both made plenty of errors and had several faults in their game, If Rob scored 20+ trys a season Im sure many wouldn't dare say a word against him.

Bentley & Preston were usually playing in the top Division and the quality still shone through. Yes they did make mistakes but they could catch a ball and they knew how to score and they both were matchwinners. They also knew where to be to score tries. When Rob gets the ball its like he does not know what to do in many cases. If there is an option to take the wingman out wide he often decides to go inside. He also does not read the game that well to know who and where best to support like for example Shad does
Rob has the potential to score well over 30 tries in the Championship as nobody is as fast yet has the strength he has. Rob is a supreme athlete but is he a Rugby player? For me at the moment No. Its up to the coaching staff to get him to be one. There are signs last season that he could be a quality winger and player-but also signs that Rob is going to struggle to become a player who will be a good Rugby Player who will be in the top 3 Wingers in the Championship. He has so much potential and I guess thats why so many people are not sure on Rob whether he will actually be a good player we can rely on or not.

I don't usually like to publicly comment on individual players' performances, but I feel the lad took some un-warranted stick on this messageboard, and to perform with improvement when he did, credit to him, and credit to the coaches for sticking with him for another year.

I agree - and i am much happier having in our side than having him play against us.

I think thats Rob finally showing some of his potential and the Coaches doing a good job in the last few matches. But up til then he had underperformed for me. Being a top athlete and being a good Rugby Player are two completely different.
I hope that for him personally and obviously for the team that Rob can kick on and show us more of that raw potential.For me Rob has the potential to score 30 plus tries in this League-but he needs to be more consistant and show more of that potential in more games. I believe he can but he has to show it.

His contract is for 1 year with an option for a second year dependant on number of appearances made.
This sounds to me as though his position is not guaranteed, so maybe there is still a signing in the pipeline for a winger to come in to the squad. All the talk coming from the club hints at more names yet to be announced, so White may be in with a shout.
