That's where we need a Harris type player ... a player who's been there done it, is a great leader and sets a great example. Someone to steady the ship. At half backs we have an off the cuff talent who can be great on his day but can go walk about, and a hooker. Very good players in their own right but as I say we need an Harris.

I've had the same signature block underneath My posts for months now and it was never more true than tonight.
We totally outclassed Fev for the first 20, and it was party time in the crowd for the fax fans. Everything was coming off and the movement was excellent.
When we came out in the second half, the team was unrecognizable. Fev didn't seem to play much differently but we looked flat and down. Heads dropped and nobody seemed able to raise them. Lots of hard tackling was put in by the players but it is so much better watching them playing with attacking flair and we never really looked capable of that in the second 40.

We have got to learn that it is an 80 minute game and we must learn to see every one of them out to achieve what we all know this team is capable of.

Well done Fev for not lying down after the initial onslaught. You got a result that you, in the end, deserved and a victory that Fax threw away.

Fev stepped up a gear and fax looked Knackered in the second half, apart from Said. I thought we were going hold on, but it was not to be. exciting though.

Oh, and a good game from the ref.

tactics wrong tonite i'm afraid. got away with it last week but can't expect to blow teams away every week by having all strike players on at same time. Gleeson, beswick and penky visibly knackered in second half and offered nothing in attack. Hope we don't do same next week. you need a ball player/dummy half on the bench, to rest others but also to shake it up a bit.

Sometimes I think MC's arrogance runs away with itself and his team selection today showed that again.

Plus doesn't help when 3 of your props do about 15 mins each, so everyone else, including the 2nd rowers were having to work overtime.

It wasn't lack of effort tonite, and we didn't make too many errors, although when we did we paid for them. just imo the game plan didn't work - no plan B for when Fev got a roll on.

Halkifax are fast becoming the most dis-liked team in the league, arrogance seems to flow through the club. From the MP who said you should be in super league to your coach (whats his name) who came out with the country mile crap. For 40 mins we had to listen to a load of mocking abuse off your fans, you sang to us "your just a small town in sharlston" "who are you" and the old favourite easy easy, we listend to this arrogance for 40 mins and when we won at the end we gave you it back big time. Your fans are getting very much like Cas fans they give lesser teams fans a nightmare, all gathering at the back of the stand together for safety singing obsenaties, but today you played the ROVERS we are not York, Hunslet, Sheffield, Gateshead we are the famous Featherstone Rovers with the best following in RL, yoju will do well to remember this in the future.
PS: if were a small town in sharlston and we smashed you, what does that say about you?

rovers was just euphoric after last nights win and having some daft lad in his face telling him how sheeite fev were at half time and that fax were the poodles swingers!
Rovers will have had his anti psychotic medication and will be stable today. Well as stable as he can get.
Win or lose, i can't believe some fax fans saying they're not going to watch fax or go to widnes cos they lost last night!! What's all that about.
And tho its a minority, the odd one or two blaming the ref?? He's a numpty but he didn't spoil the game.
The two games v fev this season have been as good as you get and were the best value for money in sport you can get! 2 great games which were a credit to the championship. Fantastic entertainment.

Spot on mate, Penky and Blacky were none existent last night (whats going on with Penky he is nowhere hear his best this season) - too much boozing the weekend before, last time I saw them both was Sunday morning still smashed at 11am from the night before and at it again!
Hey not saying the lads did not deserve a bash after last week but to be a top athlete you cannot go out and get a skinfull down your kneck 5 days before a game.
Calland need to stop the booze culture at Fax, yes it gells the team but it affects the body! Time and place come to mind.

Calmed down a bit but it is nice ramming those taunts back down there throats, Fax have won sod all yet and after last nights showing probably wont for a good while yet. If they dont win the league Calland should do the decent thing and resign.
I watched Tamghart last night and the reason he is not getting in the french team is nothing to do with Racism its because he is shiiiiiiite, Championship 1 is his level never mind international

Not picking on those two but as you say they are 'off the cuff' sometimes briliant sometimes non existent like last night.
Holly was an 80 minute man, yer his defence was poor but he got us the hard yards with his dummies and kicks, we did it first half but where did we go wrong in the second? No leader on the pitch, maybe we miss Larder more than we think when he does not play?
We kept it too close to the ruck instead of spreading it wider, they battered us and once they got a sniff they looked better than us, up to 30 minutes we had battered them.
Losing Miles Greenwood was a big blow, he does not sound good knee problem by the sound of it?
