is it the same oxford that the under 20s play on sunday ???

hope to get it on as a double header as ours is not appealing at all tbh

To reply to seanfax, yes it is the same team as will be taking on our Under 20s at Brighouse Rangers on Sunday KO 12 noon

We had been asked by Oxford if we were prepared to play them in a friendly prior to their season starting and agreed. It has to be at Brighouse because it seems that the Shay pitch cannot take 2 games on the same day.

After the Under 20s game we have invited the Oxford team back as our guests to watch the first team play Hunslet. . I guess that after the draw they will be even more interested in watching them!

It may not be appealing but, the players have to be payed the club needs the revenue, and it's still an afternoon out.
Come on, everyone, if you don't watch all the cup games then don't expect to get a ticket when we get to the Final.

just hope we can get 3x that many with a double header but after what mike said that will take some convincing

I'm sure I just read that post re: U20's v Oxford at Brighouse on sunday & the Shay not being able to stomach two RL matches in the same day.

A double-header would be the biggest thing that would tempt me through the turnstiles but possibly nothing much else would, I'm not optimistic of a double-header in all honesty though.

Has anyone else thought about how we are supposed to hold the northern rail final if the pitch can't take 2 games in one day?

The final is on the 20th July, 4 months away, between now and then the council are to repair the ground, FCHalifax Town will have finished playing there 2 months before and summer is the growing season for grass.
Don't worry it's all under control.
