| Great news and once again thank you Tony. Its not just the cash but the professional way our club is run making even profit when SL is making huge losses and crying poverty. Instead of wasting money they should look to us and Fev on how to run clubs properly and not on dreams. Good to see Fev doing something with their ground. Maybe Cas, Bradford and Wakey will start one day!   |

Just checked it myself and its the same accounts filed last year showing £21k in the bank. Liabilities have been reducing year on year etc, nothing concerning for me?? Unless your link listed something different??

Harry gration. the fellow off look north, tweeted earlier on "happy to see Halifax rlfc have new owners" is that just because Tony Abbot is now the highest share holder, or does he know some thing I don't.

I'm not entirely 100% certain on this but I think Tony & Croady have upped their involvement this year with the club. Not that they weren't heavily involved before mind. However both Michael Steele and Mike Riley have both toiled and worked mega hard for the club whilst both have had health issues which is phenomenal really when both are retired.
I think this is merely a shift in the younger guys having more input and certainly with Tony now being the major shareholder effectively makes him the owner I'd say. However the knowledge both Mike's have is irreplaceable but it does take a bit of the day to day pressure off them both I'm sure.
