Well done Malc and the club, its important that both clubs move on from where we have been over the past couple of years. The rivaly on the pitch is fantastic and welcome with currently two very good teams.

Excellent gesture. Small things to hopefully rebuild things between us. We need Fev and they need us. Time to move on and look forward.

Let me expand a little on Malc's initial thread opener.
I was in the office at the Shay on tuesday this week & was telling Malc, Mike, Sarah, Richard & Jenna how my mate from Fev who i regularly go to gigs with was telling me that our friendship could help or begin to re-build bridges between the two sets of supporters after the terrible consequences of the recent troubles at Fev v Fax games.
I'd stated to Malc initially that I'd told my mate "next time we come to Fev, I'll donate one of my collection of old Fax shirts" to the collection they have from other teams pinned up in the Blue Lagoon bar in the ground at P.O.R. Malc immediately offered to throw in a 2012 Fax home shirt, and hoped that both teams today could autograph it as part of the occassion, a truly kind & honest gesture. The hope was that it'd be handed over at the after-match presentations in the corporate lounge.
Many visiting fans to P.O.R. won't be familiar with the Blue Lagoon bar under the stand opposite the main stand, but it's run by genuine Fev fans, & as I understand it, their profits go towards the supporters away travel, which I'm sure will boost the takings at some stadiums.
Now, I know not everyone is keen on the potential love-in between Fev & Fax fans, but I have good friends at many clubs on the RL circuit, & the friends I have at Fev are as good as any others, so I'm into this.
Let's hope things improve somewhat.

No worries mate. I bumped into ( briefly ) Mark, Sidnee, RFF & Fevgrinder pre-match & filled them in. I tried to text you this morning but it kept failing for some reason.

On a serious note that is a great gesture ...

Far be it for me to defend Featherstone Rovers, but let's not forget the part their club is playing in this, they did send club reps over including Daryl Powell to the Dave Singer fund-raiser at the Fleece pub in Elland not too long ago.

MM the shirt is ready for collection. Seeing as its coming from and for the supporters I think it could be a good thing for our supporters to present it to them at our next game, becuase we are so nice at Fax they may let us win a game.

Just out of interest, I remember a few years back seeing a post about the blue lagoon been broken into and shirts stolen, were these ever found/returned?

Not that I'm aware of, though I I do know there was a lot of metal sheets and welding that went on afterwards to hopefully stop it happening again.
