Exactly right. The club is not doing itself any favours here. People want answers. The club need to be honest and quickly. The longer this so called internal investigation takes the more it drags on and the more harm is done. |

it would be counter productive for the RFL to give us a significant fine.
They will state the error was made "un-intentionally" and a "genuine non-calculated mistake" and let us off a large fine, but insist Fax review their internal controls and inform Red hall of their action plan to do this.

Exactly.
Devious = Heavy fine, some suspended
Stupid = Lighter fine suspended, exclusion from the cup deemed punishment enough. |

Does it really matter? If we have been kicked out of the cup I can see us being guilty of misconduct. We did play a player who was cup tied. I would think that's enough for misconducted. Could be wrong though. |

Well said. I know it's difficult but let's try to put this behind us. If we were to get our act together and win the Grand Final this mess would quickly be forgotten.
Having said that, we still require a full explanation asap before the fans start to vote with their feet.

No - i think the misconduct enquiry will ask - did we willfully plan it? The answer - No. Had we been playing Widnes, then quite possibly.
The only nagging doubt is to whether the 2 directors left because of it. If that's the case, then we knew about it and tried to keep quiet. |
