| Quote: The Lucky Black Cat "Very good signing but I would rather have Penky anyday and believe he is the best player outside of SL.
I also feel Fev are a bit weaker this year. Losing Tonks, Divorty and Powell will hurt them. Freer and Lockwood are average from what I have seen and not as good as players that have left. Grimshaw is a quality player however but Fev are hardly short at 6,7 and 9 so could be stuck on the bench. Still Fev are my slight favourites'"
Well i hope everyone else is just as dismissive as some on here seem to be about Rovers chances next year, in my opinion we are at least as strong if not a bit stronger than last season heres why. We have lost Morrison and Divorty to you, morrison hardly played any games and got injured, even though i liked his 100% effort i feel he will keep getting injured, the way he takes the ball in and his tackling technique leave a lot to be desired he always looked to me like he never got coached right as a junior, at Fev he was the most expensive water boy in the clubs history. As for Ross Divorty i liked him as a player but know darryl never really rated him, the reason he left us is because he wanted a guaranteed slot in the 2nd row, darryl said no way, i also know he was the weakest forward at the club both half backs bench pressed more than him believe it or not, so no great loss there either. powell had good go forward but had some big tackling faults and was injured for all the run in so another 1 we wont miss. Tonks is a massive loss as is Cockayne but the replacements will keep us there. My m8 used to play with Lockwood and Anthony England at Dewsbury and says they are ripping it up in training and are both 80 mins forwards and really up for having a go at Fev, freer got Yorks player of the year in an average team and i know powell is excellent at picking promising players up and turning them into good players, we also have Maloney so our forwards will be stronger and Grimshaw is a local lad and has stated he has never trained as hard as these last few weeks, the lad is a class act and will shine this season. We may also be signing the perfect replacement for Cockayne, i reckon the bookies have got it spot on. I also dont think your team will be as strong as your all hoping, the 2 forwards you have signed from us wont break any pots, hesketh played for us and i wouldnt swap him for any of our forwards. your 2 half backs have both played for us and honestly i wouldnt have them back for free. Thackery is a 1 trick poney and Handforth isnt in the same class as ben black. These are my personal thoughts and my opinion for what its worth, i have been wrong many times before

well gingdong might be on 12nr nights and has a propensity for talking sheeite at any time of the day - BUT, I can at least confirm a couple of things.
Morro is indeed a cracking player who has te potential to be one of the best players in the championship - but he breaks easier than a rich tea biscuit!!
He has been the recipient of a bloody good wages for running on with the water!!! No way were Daryl and the BoD going to offer him the same terms. The risk wasn't worth it - obviously KH thinks differently. C'est la vie.
Divo - Nice lad. Runs onto the ball well. But gingdong is correct in his statement. When it comes to upper body strength he was our weakest forrad. If Morro had been fit - Divo would not have been in the team! Again, a change of club may give him fresh impetus - it often does.
We'll miss tonka?? Well, it depends on how good Dom Maloney is. He was the poodles swingers who was a must signing for KH and wouldn't consider signing for Fev. - until he did just that and then was crapola!!! - that's how the scenario goes when a player doesn't sign for our clubs isn;t it??
My club - as always I'm reluctant to make predictions. We'll see how it goes eh!

| Watching the four nations I thought Divorty was one of the few Wales forwards who gave it a good go and looked very good against the Aussies in particular. If we are getting that Divorty then even though he is not good enough for the superstars down the road he will do for me at Fax.

| Divo's contribution was the diff between fev n fax at your gaff last year!! As I said, runs onto the ball well and spots a gap as good as any forrad at this level. I didn't say he was a bad player - I wouldn't have battered an eyelid if he'd re-signed at Fev! I'm posting how he was viewed. For the first time in a generation, these last 2-3 years we have had some depth to our squad at Fev which means that if all were available some players would have to make way for others. Daryl had suggested that Divo would have been one of them! Does that make him a bad player?? Does it cobblers!
As I said, he's a very likeable lad. I hope he goes well.

I liked Divorty and wanted him to stay but Darryl never really rated him thats why he was always a bit part player, Morrisson same cant fault him 100% every hit up and tackle, but you watch his technique its got injure me written all over it. I hope both players have better luck at Fax

| Looks like Fisher may not be on the way to Buldogs after all:-
From the Sun.
FORMER Castleford star and schoolmaster John Kear may be unable to keep hold of latest pupil Ben Fisher.
Kear, now Batley Bulldogs' head coach, thought he had landed a real head boy last Saturday when Fisher, 30, signed in from Hull KR, where he played 165 games.
But it seems St Helens boss Royce Simmons wants to talk to his fellow Aussie about doing a job for him

I happen to know that this story is a load of tosh, and I also know exactly where the story has come from.

| Providing he stays fit, that's an absolutely cracking capture for Batley.
