| Talk about doom and gloom from some of you on here. Yes we have lost some good players but we have also got some new blood in. I reckon we will be in the mix at the end of the seaon and I would not be surprised to make it three finals in a row. To suggest we will be lucky to make the top four is a little strange I for one am struggling to think of four better sides. I agree things will be more competitive next season and everyone will be gunning for the Champions but next year I can only see another very good season.

| Halifax lad Adam O'Brien in there, he's on a nice progression at Bradford. I'd heard young John Bateman was due to debut at the Cas game on boxing day for Bradford so half expected his name to be on this week's teamsheet.

It sounds like bateman is getting a first team squad number this year. Big things are expected of both him and o'brien.

| Heard from a very good source that beswick & Maloney are not taking a pay cut and not playing Sunday! Beswick is no longer at the club.
The side is looking strong, with a few new faces, Josh Barlow, bowman & Chris Gordon all looking to make an impact on Sunday. The team will get announced to the players on Saturday! All the squad will play!!
I can't wait I'll be there!!
Come on the FAX!!

If true about Beswick and Maloney that's very disappointing.
I really rate them both and Fax would definately be weaker without them.

That could hint at a return for Dylan Nash, the Australian centre or back rower who played for Fax in the 23-22 Grand Final win over Featherstone before returning home.
Nash was already contracted to Fax for next season, but has been caught up in the Co-operative Championship winners' ongoing drive to negotiate pay cuts with their top earners.
And while a clutch of high profile players have signed amended deals for next season, several more - Nash, Makali Aizue, Bob Beswick, Dominic Maloney and Goddard - have not been officially confirmed, although Courier Sport understands talks are continuing.
"Ideally, you want your squad finalised before you start pre season in October or November, but that's not been possible," said Calland

hope they all get sorted with us soon

I echo those sentiments. If beswick and maloney are both gone then good luck to them, I wouldn't take a pay cut either if i was under contract, so i can understand it, but as above says we will really miss them and need to replace with equal calibre players if possible, However at this stage i would have thought most would be signed up.

| Whilst I agree that if you have a deal, then both parties should stick to it, If these players are looking to leave, they should leave now. The club can then focus on getting new blood in.

| We should remember the players and coach who have taken a pay cut and this can only be because they are proud of the blue of white and want to play for the Champions, so a big thanks to them .
For those players holding out on the two year contract I for one would appeal to them to sign a new contract at a reduced rate and help us create another really strong team spirit and works towards another amazing season.
Come on lads show some pride for the badge and help to make us Great again !!!

| If infact the above rumour regarding Bob and Dom is correct, I do find this rather frustrating. Why wasn't this decided months ago (whenever the decision to attempt to cut last years wage bill was announced?) so we could plan without these players and attempt to find suitable replacements?

Dylan signed a one year deal with the option of a second - Does this answer any questions as to whether he is under contract or not?
