Know what you mean. Been to the Boulevard many times and seen people spat on but also had good banter with others there. Fortunately this type of brainless fan is in the minority but all clubs have them.....oh! except for Celtic cos they dont have any fans icon_lol.gif

been around here long time, thought would start posting...........:Others/grunt.gif

Quote: original_faxfan "I can't believe what I've just read. Get a grip. RL is a family sport and talk of crowd trouble is rediculous. So some people goaded each other last time? Wow! Start routine segregation and you're on a slippery slope to the current football mentality. I like it when the North Stand is open but only because the ground looks fuller. I enjoy the banter and the laugh with away fans as we did at Thrum Hall since the day I started watching Fax.

All this talk of crowd trouble is garbage. I've been a home and away Fax fan since I was 10 and I've seen two or three incidents that you mildly class as crowd trouble. I take my 4 year old home and away now and never even think about standing or sitting in a place where there are no away fans.

Take the banter and give it back with a smile on your face.'"

I and many others do, but are a few that dont in each crowd.

Im very pleased your Rugby viewing has been incident free.... maybe you sit down?
However....
Others have not had that pleasure..
When people can change ends thats a different scenario altogether, when were boxed into one end with 2 sets of lager fueled cretins that have just discovered swearing and lager, it can ruin it for a good deal of people that cant walk away to a part of the ground where they can actually watch the game.
So......... Your wrong fella, but i do take your point that essentially its still got merits as a family game, with some notable exceptions though.

I dont get this 'it's skys decision' anyway. If we were a slightly better supported team, ala widnes for example, then there'd be no room for fev fans and sky woule have to find a way to move their lorries or whatever if they're making out like they have no other choice then they're talkin rubbish

At the end of the day its the clubs decision and they should stand up to sky. We're gonna play a game on thursday whether sky are there or not, they cant fine us or dock us point so they can do 1.

Nope, I stand in the South Stand with my 4 year old boy, my mate and his boys, 11 & 8, and both our Dad's in their 60's....family sport. Also a few other mates. Still think this "Crowd Trouble" thing is getting blown way out of proportion.

We were all stood next to the Barrow Chavs before they got moved on Thurs. We gave as good as we got and there was no chance is was going to get out of control which will disappoint some people. Some things were said and it would appear that some folk on here might refer to it as "crowd trouble". They got moved, we had a smile on our faces and we were good losers.

Your spot on about Barrow I think I was just behind you but there is a big difference between them who clearly just wanted a bit of banter and were about 14 and some of the other incidents this year.

Yes it is not big but against Fev i moved from the South stand with my 7 year old girl. That is a first for me.

Wow, surprised?? Just not seen that element. Surely your talking about 1 or 2 times though? Ypu've got to be "bad place, bad time" etc. If I'm wrong and got lucky, in all my time watching Fax then surely you can't have been so unlucky that you get trouble every week?

I've been to Fev more times than I've got fingers and whilst there is always the banter, I've never felt it's going to spill over......

Yes it is isolated but seen it a couple of times too many this year. At the Fev game at 12 0 a Fev fan was having a go and from about 4 meters away I said smile it is not worth it. He tried to come round to hit me (even with a little girl with me). If a couple of Fax fans did not jump in I don't know what would have happened. So banking on him being an idiot I did the only thing I could and covered my little girls eyes and left the stand.

Do I want that on Thursday...no. That is why I want them in the North stand. How bad is when you want Widnes to win just because you think you will be safer?

Your a family man, how would you feel?

If anyone does have anxiety over any problems in the South Stand, then maybe its best to take a seat in the stand or move away from the boisterous element, we know where they will be, just be pro-active and get on with it

I don't know Jacko....in 25 years I've not experienced that. My Wife spent 5 or 6 years with me at Thrum Hall/Shay and my son has done 3 seasons now at 4 years old. I've never once felt the need to cover their ears or eyes. We stand in the South Stand and at away games head straight fo the middle of sticks as you'll see us on Sky+ at Barrow. Not like we hang around by the directors box with comfy cushions. This whole thread is rediculous

Yes and that is what I did. But SHOULD I HAVE TO DO IT !!!!!

Open the other stand by which ever people can make the decision then the fans don't lose out again !! Why can't they be proactive???

I know I am 99% sure I know who you are. What was worse for me that day is I finally got the wife to go to a game, like all the threads say...get as many to go as you can. She is a big Wednesday fan and said she had not seen anything like that a football game.

How does that make me feel? Plus on another note I remember someone posting on here that they heard a Fev fan complaining about the treatment they got from a couple of Fax fans that day (if you can call them that). Their apparent response was I can't do anything about it tonight as I have the kids but the next time we play you we will leave the kids at home and bring some people with us to sort you out.

Well guess what, the next time will be Thursday night.
