Quote pinballwizzard="pinballwizzard"What an absolute load of tosh:
1) We dont print tickets, unless requested to do so for RFL. Should we have to pay to print 1000 tickets when it simpy isn't necessary. Our turnstyle operators are trustworthy enough to receive money, so there is no need to experience the debacle at Stobart last season where our "200" fans had to queue for 20 minutes for a ticket being sold by one inept oxygen thief, to then have to queue again to get through the turnstile operated by said oxygen thief's twin. More than 1000 paying fans had no trouble getting into the southstand on sunday, with the same number of turnstiles.'"
Again, we do tickets for visiting fans that can be ordered from their clubs in order to make things run better. If you or your club can’t be bothered then who’s fault is that? It seems to me your club couldn't be bothered what discomfort and wasted time their fans had to endure, if they couldn't be bothered ordering tickets for you. Perhaps you should take it up with them.
Quote pinballwizzard="pinballwizzard"2) With regards the 15 coaches. A tremendous effort, to be applauded. But what can the club do - "secure" a car park of a private firm (B&M) that sells everything for £1. We have no special arrangement with them, they just seize an opportunity on a matchday to make a quick and easy buck from fans with motors. The surrounding area is all road. The club have managed to get Halifaxplc (not LGB grrr) to open the car park to ease street congestion. '"
So, if you cannot cope with large visiting crowds and accommodate parking, how would you cope in SL where you’ll often get 2 or 3 times as many?
Quote pinballwizzard="pinballwizzard"You go on about professionalism... the Widnes Press Release is the absolute antonym of professionalism, and seems intent on stoking the fire before the big game. '"
It’s letting fans know ahead of time that there are likely to be large queues getting in. I’d say that was a professional attitude. If that causes embarrassment to Halifax, it can hardly be blamed on our club.
Quote pinballwizzard="pinballwizzard"Typical whining scousers - finding the worst of every situation and thriving on grief. Hail Boris.'"
At least we’re not Bradfordians like you lot.
