| Quote: the fax in asia "I listened to the game on Radio Leeds, it seemed apart from the one bad error in the first half Fax gave as good as they got. Going in at the half all level did the think the job done?
In the second did Leeds up the pace? Did Fax feel they had them contained?, were the boys physically worn out? it sounded from the kick off in the 2nd Fax were on the back foot permanently, and again some strong forays in opposition territory petered out into nothingness.
It also seemed Fax were trying to strong arm and were on the wrong end of a hefty second half penalty count, bad habits resurfacing?.
Overall I thought the guys probably gave their all, as the end of the tunnel approaches were some on jollies?, others on goodbyes?, or genuine fatigue. ( I do think every player has given everything they could to wear the blue and white this year).
I trust R M and his team have some revelations in store during the close season as Fax need to kick on , that of course will rely on the BoD being in fine fettle to guide from the front.
As always m h o o.'"
Just my thoughts on the game.
Leeds came out strong and had the bulk of the play for the first 15 or 20 and got the over the line in that period, Fax defended further Leeds attacks and gradually got more into the game resulting in Tyrer coming up with a trademark run and leap to slam it down from a Murrell cross field kick and convert to level.
Fax had more possession and had a couple of other chances to add more points with Fairbanks and Johnston going close.
Second half Leeds had the perfect start when JWH after taking the last play high bomb well then spilled the ball for the Rhinos to score in the following set.
Brad Dwyer then went in for two further scores with his typical darts from dummy half close to the line.
With the pressure off Leeds upped the pace and were fast around the ruck with quick plays and penalties carrying them up the pitch and added the other scores as a result.
Fax in and among this had chances with Jones, Tangata, Tyrer and Grady going close but not close enough.
It wasn't quite the blow out I had feared and Fax deserve some credit for giving it all they had and standing up well across the 17 against a quality full time SL team.
In the end, as mentioned above the extra speed out of dummy half and around the ruck and elsewhere on the park was the biggest factor.

| Brad Dwyer was outstanding when he played yesterday, shows what real pace can do to teams.
Luke Briscoe looked like a completely different player to who played in featherstone colours against us earlier in the year.
Jack Walker very strong bringing the ball out.
All in all simply out played by a better team but a much better performance than the Salford game. Didn't come away too disheartened really.
Brandon Moore has been a pleasure to watch this year, hope we can tie him down long term.
Sion Jones I don't think has really taken his chances after what seemed like a promising start to the year from him.
Ben Heaton I'm not too bothered about leaving. Always puts his all on but just too inconsistent and never felt like anything more than a squad player for me. Anyone know where he's going?
And once more Moss showed he's just lacking something. I'd rather stick with JWH at the back, his feet are second to none, love watching his last minute steps to beat the man.

| A fantastic performance yesterday from Fax. In the 1st half it was hard to tell which side was Championship and which was SL. 2nd half inevitably saw full time fitness come into play and that added to a touch of class here and there saw Leeds pull away in the end. Fax though can take great credit from yesterday and the season as a whole and who knows, a bit of astute shopping in the close season may see us push on to the next level. Well done lads. Up The Fax!

I was in agreement until you referred to Leeds as quality. They were pretty awful.

| I would put any of Sharpe, salty or Woody before Moss at number 1. I can't remember when he beat the first man . You can see why HKR had him on the wing because he has bags of pace but ability to beat a man very questionabl and with that pace it's hard to see why he can't stand up opponents and then just go. It's bye bye to moss for me.

I think you dropped your dummy.
A fantastic 1st half performance and easily the best we have played in the 8's. 2nd half was just a case of us running out of steam and Leeds extra quality telling so certainly not the blow out that could have happened. The players can be very proud of that performance.
Leeds look like they face a massive rebuilding task as although obviously a lot better than us its easy to see why they have struggled in SL. For us Marshall mentioned after the game that he thinks we just need a couple of real quality players so if he is thinking like that then he must have someone lined up.

Just hope any changes to the funding don’t impact too much on getting the quality players over the line.

| Brad Dwyer made a MASSIVE difference when he came on, he's so much better than Parcell , and without him I think we would have run Leeds very close. Quite annoying when one man can make so much of a difference. Talking of which, I notice Salford have lost the last 2 games without Jackson Hastings. That says it all.

| Brandon Moore is a Super League quality Hooker who would rip it up on the back of a lightening fast play the ball at that level

| Looks like Brandon is off to Saints . Steve Tyrer and Connor Robinson wishing him well on FB. To be fair he deserves a pop at Superleague and with full time training and quality coaching could be a fantastic player.
On the topic of Leeds they had the bench players who could change the game (Dwyer). We simply don't have that luxury. No disgrace in that defeat and came away satisfied . Very workmanlike but just not the quality to win against full time opposition.

| Moss can go back to hull kr or the dulls where he is alleged going to anyway. Offers nothing at all
Brandon is a huge loss enjoyed watching him this season but deserves the chance at sl
Grix in at full back and a hooker to replace Brandon will be a good start but defo need at least 4 players to compete with potentially 2 sl teams coming down

| Struggling with the concept of minor changes needed.Between 3 of us on sunday we couldn't come up with a retained list above 8 and Brandon was obviously one of these.
As for signing a veteran full back-no thanks-need to dramatically increase the pace across the team not reduce it..

That is very disappointing to read if he is off to Saints. Not for the player of course and I would never stand in anybody's way if they are trying to better themselves, both Professionally and in Sport. However, as a club we have to start to show some ambition on the field and sell ourselves as a club to be at least in with a chance of keeping the likes of Moore and Butler etc. These are players I would push the boat out to keep and build a side around them for the next 10 years etc. I understand money talks and if true Saints is great move for him but where does it stop? We are trying to build things off the pitch but we are still in the entertainments industry and need to retain and recruit some class in our current side-not lose it.

Unfortunately not a lot of good quality hookers about. Brandon happens to be one of them outside of Superleague. Roby not getting any younger. We do have Davies (cant remember which one) coming through who can hopefully fill the void. The reality is the best championship players will get picked off by Superleague .
