Hi u keighley fans nice to see you all reading our page, most of you will know who I am and along with big Dave outside ya bar on match days I cheer/shout louder than most when Fax don't have a game. I wrote the piece hoping that one of Rhino's team read it cos as stealth say's it would be a good team talk and it also gets the banter up between the Fans which equals betta atmosphere & and a good game, rather than be a dreary friendly. I've only quoted him and afta speakin t JD he woz not amused.
The parts I didn't like woz him saying that we were unable to get sponsorship(without his help), which we appear to be doing well at this year. Also when I was talking to him and he commented on our franchise application, which I hope Mr Steele would like to natter to him about! Grant U the latter woz just t me and my son in person, but it struck a nerve.

I have a lot of time for a player / coach like JD and I am sure Keighley will do well this season but its the first pre-season friendly and is no way a bench mark for the season, just the coaches to try something out.

I dont care what the score is as long as the coaches get something positive to work on for the next game. I would rather see Keighley do well as oppose to a yo yo club.

Spoke to JD on night and he thought he was over the top with some of his comments.
As for game yeah agree just want a good game and no more injuries especially to our forwards or will be asking Frank and Bloemy to dust off their boots!

Does anyone know that the admission price is likely to be for Boxing Day? Will it be as advertised on the website, i.e full price or is it reduced for friendlies?

First Keighley have no chance of SL in 2015 as the ground is nowhere near good enough. Secondly you need to build a team but Keighley have a squad older than what we had last year! Keighley have made some poor signings if the Chairman expects them to reach finals. Tadulala cant catch and is 34. March is another past it who only gives penalties away. Korkidas has done nothing for years. Jones is not good enough to lead a top Championship team around the field. Demetriou is 35 and past it. Cherryholme is a plodder who is an average Championship player. Obst is a Quality signing and possibly a better signing than Ben Fisher. Keighley may win on Boxing day-which is very much a trial game for Fax rather than putting the best 17 out. But over the season Keighley will finish 6th at best with that squad but likely will just miss out on the playoffs. Theres many good teams in the Championship and I think Keighley and especially the Chairman will be in for a shock at just how tough this League is.

Really good post this , most teams have strengthened , it is gonna be an interesting season
