Most of the Fev fans moaning about tommy leaving are the ones who have probably never played a game in there lives, and dont want him to leave because he talks to them in the clubhouse. My opinion is Tommy is a great bloke well liked but his best days at Fev are behind him and he wouldnt of got many games in this year. But i do think a change of coach / scenery / team mates might just give him his spark back and i really hope it does. I like the bloke amount of times iv been driving the minibus and got in the ground early watching them warm up while the lads get smashed in the pub and every time Tommy came over to have 5 mins. He never made much sense lol but i hope it works out for him

Not really. I finished off that post by saying i was surprised Halifax were interested, meaning I thought you would be looking for better than Tommy. by lower league I meant lower than Fax
A few have said that maybe a new club and coach will do him good, maybe it will. But it wont do anything for the yard or 2 of pace he has lost and his loss of ability to fend of defenders, which he was fantastic at.

Did Karl not fancy running Jarrod Ward rather than bringing in Tommy, after describing him as "big, strong & aggressive, reminds me of Michael Hancock" or something similar pre-season ? And trialling him in the friendlies.
Just a thought that's all.

Crossed my mind as well, I think Jarrod is still onboard, did he not recently choose not to go to Swinton and stay and take his chances at Fax.
I think it fits in with KH saying there's no time to mess around so has gone for proven experience with Tommy for the month which will give him some cover and time to look at Jarrod and with Rob recovering quicker than first thought maybe plays a part. |
