I don't think Gleeson would fit into their team IMO. Barrow depended on Ellis ability to 'scoot' and Gleeson doesn't really do that.

think he'd be a perfect replacement.thats why hes been targeted.

Money seems to talk as far as Barrow are concerned so would be interesting to see just whether it does talk enough for Fax(and Gleeson) to accept what is offered.Is Des leaving a few blank cheques with the club whilst he is in hospital?

Jees why are we all getting excited. Glees signed a two year contract cos he wanted to stay. If he was entertaining the idea of moving on he wouldn't have signed. End of it all far as I'm concerned. Can we lock this?

Agree Wiggy. Gleeson was only supposed to play for Fax originally as a stop gap until he signed Super League again, but enjoyed his time with Fax so much he wanted to stay. So why in gods name he'd want to sacrifice his happiness to move to Barrow I have no idea!

And I've said this before and I'll say it again. Barrow, as well as Whitehaven and Workington, will find it very difficult to entice decent players up that neck of the woods. It'll mean having to up sticks or driving a 300 mile round journey. And joking apart, would YOU want to live in Barrow? Even the thought makes me feel queezy!

And I suppose Halifax is the most beautiful area in England ??
