There's no excuse, there's more today on sporting nutrition, diet, training etc than ever before, the better the training regime and the better you buy into it and apply it the better the results will be. The key is it starts with "you" your mindset, as a player if you can't get your self in shape without being told then there is something wrong mentally that will show itself physically and performance wise as individuals and as a team.

I'm not privy to what goes on behind the scenes at the club but as for EM i would have had him above Tangata until Adam's recent upturn in form. I think he's also in front of Calcott and certainly before any dr/loan player who may be brought in. This is just my opinion but it's got to be said whoever has been in the squad of late has done Fax proud. For that SG must take the plaudits and whoever represents our club let's hope we continue our way up the league. Up The Fax!

So when we are not privy to what goes on behind the scenes, when a player is left out out by the coach who sees first hand what we can't
(which from any squad several will be) "must" it be down to a personal difference?

Does he have a personal difference with every player who is not picked and goes out on loan or is just Elliot?

Are Fax the only club to leave players out and send them on loan or DR?

Do all these other coaches have personal differences with these players or is it just SG with his players?

The entire line of reasoning has no reasoning behind it, it's just that you can only field 17 at any one time and considering how we are playing SG hasn't done a bad job going with those who he's picked.

No perhaps about it, it was pure unfounded speculation clearly stating in public that SG had a personal problem with Elliot and as a result was leaving him out of the team.

That is getting personal about one or both of them, completely out of order and perhaps a public apology is in order.

DR, which wasn't what was being discussed but as of 2022 that's what's on offer, it's part of what we pay for and if we don't like it then don't buy the goods.

Well when your opinion involves other people personally keep it to your self then because when it's out in public it's not just your opinion any more is it.
SG every week has to cope with a multitude of challenges all of which are just part and part of the game many of which he won't agree with.
Regardless of personal feelings he has a responsibly to get the best 17 players on the park for every game from everyone who's available.
On team selection he has shown that the vast majority of the times they have been our own players and is fully aware of the benefits of doing so, but when the need arises he uses other arrangements such as loans and DR and in the modern game he would be failing in his duties for all those who he represents including the club, the players, the supporters etc and he say's "It is what it is" and gets on with with the job and doesn't continually moan about it from the comfort of an armchair using a keyboard.

Considering what some of the posters on that forum come out with it would take the patience of a saint not to get banned on there. I completely agree with you and the other posters on there defending the fax players against the bans handed out to them. I don't post on there because i too would end up banned and as for the debate on here for what it is worth have a good ding dong and then try to move on.
