| I posted a couple of weeks back that even with Springer, Hewitt and Borough we were at least still 3 or 4 players short.
Once, for one reason or another they had gone there was no way Fax could have brought in those numbers of players of the right caliber either permanently or even temporarily this year so the recruitment focus was on next season.
Just hope there is some substance to the rumours.

| Quote terry silver="terry silver"Hello phantom you say that we are in a fortunate position but i just see it as good recruitment by the club getting in first and as you say being proactive so to speak. And could you not say that both fev and Toulouse are in a fortunate position by being in a league where they have far more spending power then most of there rivals. '"
To your first comment, yes that's probably a fair point. Certainly seems that Halifax haven't been letting the grass grow under their feet anyway. As for the second one well yes, perhaps you could say fortunate although a lot of Fev's spending power is down to a variety of factors ranging from extensive sponsorship to a successful Squad Builder operation and perhaps more importantly owning our own ground and therefore all income both on match days and for other events going to the club.

| Just seen the highlights of Whitehavens game against Bulls - based only on that Walmsley would look to be a spectacular signing - if it's true!

Personally after watching the highlights of that game I think Fax should break the bank to try and re-sign Dan Fleming...

We'll accept that Fev can outbid us on that one.

Some times theres a reason why a player has so many clubs. Bradford have taken a little while to find that out.

| If conor was to play week in week out to the standard he did on sunday then it is a shame he is calling it a day. But he as to do what is best for him and the club if he cant commit to our schedule training wise. Scott grix is also calling it a day at the end of the season. I don't doubt about is influence off the pitch with is professional approach. And he as got as much out of himself playing wise as he could of hoped for over a long career. But for me the club made a mistake in signing him on a permanent deal after seeing how he played when on loan to us they should of left it there.

Yes the nature of the Simon grixs’ comments suggests he’s known about McGrath leaving for a while and more than likely his brother’s retirement so walmsley covers both positions and allows flexibility with Woodburn hall . I’m intrigued to know what the plan is with the halves given the jouffret rumours are still high https://twitter.com/thegamecaller/statu ... 52332?s=21
I know Harris is on a one year contract and suspect he maybe leaving but I’m sure Robinson signed for 2 and he’s a regular on the talking the fax of life podcast and seems happy at fax , but with Keyes and jouffret in the picture it makes the halfback area more competitive it’s just a case of keeping them all happy .

Im not going to lie I am leaning towards this too. Mcgrath has done well for us as a squad player but despite him been here a while now and us playing a lot of different wingers in that time he has always been 3rd choice. If he ends up signing for a League 1 team then Im sure he will do well and get a decent amount of tries. To be fair its a while since we had a winger with real start quality, Salty is good and solid but he's not going to get the crowd on their feet that often. A very good championship player but again not top 2 star quality like we will be getting with Walmsley.
As for Grix he has had a fantastic career and you do not get to play that many games by chance so he has done really well there. Unfortunatley for us it has been clear the last couple of seasons he has been looking after himself during games which was especially noticable when he were at fullback and you go away from a back 3 to make the hard yards to a back 2. I think he is doing the right thing and I do wish him the best whatever he does from here but I think we will be a better team for it next season with a completley different half back set up.
