I read that the season ticket sales have gone really well, so far, in Toronto but their flights and accommodation are being funded by the RFL, as are the flights and accommodation for the teams travelling to Toronto.

| I watched Dave Woods interview Eric Perez (CEO of Toronto) and he said the sponsorship portfolio he's put together will more than cover all the costs for travel etc. Wouldn't surprise me if RFL were bank rolling em though but suppose history will tell

It always does. Folk start to wonder why they bought one. And, more importantly, whether they'll buy one next season.
Pricing is a tough decision.

Folk often forget that, ultimately, the clubs collectively make these decisions. If they want to spend their money on Toronto, I'd be surprised, but it's still their decision.

| The Town lads posting on here will be giddy when they see on their computers what team we are travelling with tomorrow. We look forward to the fall out after we have been smashed.

Griff,
I think you should point that out to the Leigh fans! Seems that promotion is possible under the super 8s or whatever they are called. I also suspect that Bradford and Toulouse will be there or thereabouts next year with whoever gets relegated and Toronto the year after. You might not like the system, but it does appear to work.
What is going to be difficult for the likes of Sheff/Fax/Fev is making the middle 8 and therefore having to operate on less funding ongoing.
Now all I have to do is win the Euro millions to fund Fev and we are sorted....

At the risk of repeating myself, they could have been up two years ago. They were in the box seat under the franchising system.

So why were they not allowed up then???
Franchising is NOT the answer end of story come on Fev should have gone up when they dominated our league but their face did not fit with the Fat Controller.

| Franchising has no place in it for P&R, it is a closed shop and that's what we had pretty much.
They changed it because it would have been embarrassing not have let Leigh in, now they have to and the Fat Controller will have to deal with Degsy as well as, possibly if he's still around, Marwan.

I don't think Marwan will be around. He's poured a shed full into Salford and got nothing back. Crowds are poor and he's not happy with how the RFL behave. Imagine punishing him for breaking the rules!!
I personally think Salford could go down in the MPG

Totally agree, I hope he does stay around as I like the way he has tried to shake things up to get the game more profile, he has said he won't be pouring his money in though so only time will tell.
As we all know at Dax there is only one way for the game to truly progress and that is to remove the head of the whole thing.
