It can last longer than pre-season. Take us for example, our 'pre-season' optimism lasted up to about August 8th in 2015!

Actually I enjoyed last season,and 2 of my best games I attended ,we lost,London and Fax away really great days out,I always enjoy the day out,the result is a Bonus,I can't wait for next season and think there will be some great games.

I don't think Derek understands the concept of value for money. It his brass I guess but spending £1.3m in the Championship is just plain dumb.

Totally agree, I think this coming season will be tough, and damned exciting, with a few results that people probably aren't expecting. I think most teams will drop points, it will be the ones that don't drop the silly points that will come out on top though I do expect you guys to be up there if your new signings click.

I'd say that was true under the old format but now I am not so sure. There was no need to spend that sort of money in order to be the best club in the Championship but when you have to be better than some SL teams in order to win promotion I think you need to be spending at least a comparable amount to what they are. Going FT for a start immediately ramps your costs up massively.

Wakefield were the obvious 'weak' link last year but they look to have improved quite a bit since then with some good signings and I think anyone wanting to go up needs to improve just as much to stand a chance.

The problem obviously is that if we don't go up then the costs are very high for a team with Championship funding, income, attendances etc but I think it is a chance we need to take whilst we have somebody in charge who can afford to do so.
