Frustrating game. Fev or Sheffield would have beat us comfortably with that performance.

| Don't think great game covers it...??!! Obviously chuffed we won but for 70 mins we were dire and clueless. Last 10 mins was the only time we played with any urgency. Batley the better team by a long way. I will say we defended in the most part pretty well but Batley with ball in hand and around th ruck had far more zip. Very boring to watch again as a Fax fan for most if the game. A better composed side would have put us to the sword by half time.

| Not sure how we pulled that one off, we didn't look interested for 70 minutes. Im really starting to think we need something a bit more than a few new half-backs, we had no idea in attack, extremely poor! Karl needs to pull something special out and CHANGE how we're playing, I was seriously considering whether bringing Calland - never thought i'd say this - back would be a viable option. Some major changes need to happen because people are losing interest and seemingly the players.

| Seems a good win on paper for you men, who do you fancy on Thursday, us or batley? Good luck for the rest of the season.

| Today we turned a bit of a corner (albeit a small one) - at 19-24 I did think that was it... It wasn't the best team display but Batley are a good side and did show a glimmer of our potential at times. We were winning for fun at the start of the season, and we have 2 games to get some of that form back going into the playoffs.
Barring anything really stupid (in which case it's game over anyway), we're pretty guaranteed a 3rd or 4th place finish, so more than one bite of the cherry in the playoffs (if we lose to Fev/Sheffield) as well.
I'll keep on supporting my team until the fat lady sings...

With the form you're in, I can't see anything but a healthy Leigh win. You're in for a battle though!

| It was good to see Miles Greenwood have a strong game, I didn't think he'd ever get back to full fitness after the mid week injury at Widnes a few years back, but he looked sharp and strong in defence and attack, I was a little sad that him and Whitey left us, I thought we had an exciting back three with those two and Rob.
Has Fieldhouse broken his nose or lost a few teeth? A bizarre incident.
Disappointing to see the shoves and altercation outside the South stand Bar, I guess there's two sets of frustrated fans that support teams a bit behind Sheffield, Leigh and Featherstone at present.

And as Chris points out, all those reports about the police attending a minor incident where no action was taken, its almost as if they have someone sat watching twitter, as soon as the police helicopter people tweet that they've been in Calderdale, they write a "report" for the website detailing nothing more than what the 140 character tweet of the police said, but padded out into a paragraph. then what REALLY riles me up (I need to get out more) is that they use the same image EVERY time.'"
There's nowt wrong with Alan Partridge, he's a Marillion fan & namechecks them in his Alpha Papa movie
As for the courier, christ almighty, folks still purchase/log-onto that utter tripe ???????

So it was good to see Greenwod have a good game, disapointing about the scuffle, a bit behind other teams, any positives for Fax?
I understand the referee has been put on report for decking Fieldhouse.

| It was a game that the losing team would be disappointed with, but it was a game that I've enjoyed most for quite a while. Perhaps felt a little different with 5 minutes to go and 5 points down...
