Average is not bad, nor is it good. Cherryholme is excellent at being average. Makes a average number of yards per drive and an average number of tackles per game. I am not saying he is a bad player or that he dosen't try hard. But I have never seen him bust a tackle or tackle a player onto his back one on one. Effort does not equal success at pro level. That is the reason he never played SL at Bradford and didnt look anything special when I played against him years ago in the Pennine League Div 1.'"
I sort of see where you are coming from and you need players like Cherryholme in the team and yes he had a really good game on Sunday but, and its a big but, our problem at the moment is that we are carrying too many of the same type of player. I mean take someone like Wrench, one of my favorite players, never the most spectacular players but 100% pure graft week in week out and looked good in our team. The problem is you cant have 17 players like that and win things, not these days anyway but every team needs a sprinkling of these players its just we have too many.
