That's what I was thinking but, on the other hand, I would like to see us back to our awesome, early season form.

Tell you what, Barrow's ground might be old and tired, but it's a damn sight more attractive and suitable to RL, than Gateshead's. Theirs too is 'tired', with cover on just one side, (compared with barrow's four) with a pitch about 80 mtrs long (under the RFL limit), with an in-goal area of less than 6 mtrs. (under the RFL limit) There are that many clearly visible markings - football, athletics field events, and even RL (!) that everyone on the pitch, and in the 'crowd' must be confused. Add to that, the 'throwing cage' at one end of the ground, and the goal posts must be nigh-on invisible, from the pitch. They've even got too many Aussies for SL!

That said, always enjoy playing 'Fax and bumping in to a few familiar faces. Manage to bribe a babysitter to look after my lad from half 2 until 5 on Monday - might be painful viewing when sober!

I attended the Fax V Fev game and Fev brought a fair few and the atmosphere at the end of that match was fantastic!!! Please stop trying to belittle your rivals to make yourselves feel better at this tough time!!!!!

This may be true but Fev more than most only sing when they're winning!

Come next year I hope there is Halifax, Leigh and Widnes all battling out with more spectators, good games between us, taking SL scalps in the Challenge cup, we should all have better and more suitable stadiums than a lot of SL clubs, then with any luck Nigel Wood reitres from RL and goes onto work his 'dubious magic' with another sport and we can get on with some semsible, honourable, honest and fair sport.

The only thing i would ask is that we give Widnes, Fev, Leigh their own end, and pay a few extra quid for stewards cos the language is appalling at these games

Agree with that, any club who bring more than 100 should be put in the North Stand.
Come on if Halifax Town could do it for games when they were in the Blue Square Premier when there were often less than fifty away fans why not us?
I know its segregation like in football but we need to do it as away fans in the South Stand often mean that the team don't get the wall of noise from the Fax fans plus there is the potential for a 'hot spot' even though its RL sadly, the only down side is no bar in the North Stand, maybe they will be access to one wjen the new East Stand opens?

Ive seen Widnes fans getting ale from the hut at the top of the North Stand by the burger van. Totally agree,much better atmosphere when people are in 3 sides

That would be a huge relief and a great escape from relegation. However, much as an even number of teams makes sense, one extra home game doesn't do much to help all Championship clubs with revenue problems.
