Also does any one on there ever say a food thing about Fax? And finally in your honest opinion why do you (Town Fans) hate Fax.'"
There are positive comments on the town messageboard on occasions. As has been said many times
most supporters of both teams are supportive/tolerant of each other but a few take it too far the wrong way.
Postings on these boards can be emotive indeed two well known Town posters had a dust up in Tesco's
last week about comments made on Shaymen.net.
I know many Town fans and their reasons for their dislike is:-
1)The rugby club had zero interest in sharing Thrum hall with the football club when town looked like they
would have no home. They quoted some sort of act from the 1800s as the reason though.
2)Bearing in mind the above there was divided opinion about the groundshare in 1998.
3)Accepting the rugby club was moving into share the Shay and bringing 1m investment
should be a good deal allround.
4)The then Fax directors used the Asda money to pay their loans off and effectively moved
in for nothing.
5)There is a general perception that the rugby demand everything their way at the shay
when in reality they should be at the mercy of town/council for being there in first place.
6) the pitch condition especially after the notorious waterlogged pitch game versus Wigan
7)the rent dispute about who should pay more.In particular the unreasonable retaining of large
sums of money for a dispute about £1400 a month that the rugby club would have signed to
pay historically anyway.
