In the spirit of RL this is very sad to see this. Cannot be allowed to continue this boom and bust syndrome. Going to lose clubs forever if not.

I've said it all along that Rugby League isn't big enough to be a sustainable full time sport and clubs like Leigh in particular will always be vulnerable with limited crowd potential. Only a sugar daddy will make it work but when they beggar off you're left with an orphan.

But there's this obsession we have to be full time to compete with the aussies. and having watched a lot of NRL this season including this morning's GF, as long as I have a hole in my feathery backside we will NEVER beat the ozzies in the WC so let's bite the bullet, go part time, stop expansionism and go back to the good old blood and thunder M62/M6 corridor matches played by hard working class players watched by working class speccies.

Jaysus ! Seriously, are we down to this level ? There was a game at Batley where we only named an 18 man squad but we've always managed to get 17 names on the tram sheet. What's going on, ffs ?
