We don't have dual reg with anyone, our squad will be the same as it was last week. If we were late at naming the squad, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out the probable line up.

I don't know why they don't. The whole 19 man matchday squad thing is pointless in my opinion. If you can afford a squad of (for example) 30 players then why can't you pick from that 30 on a matchday? RFL should just set a limit for Thursday for dual reg players, and publish a list of all dual reg players registered for that weekend.

To be fair in most sports a team sheet has to be handed in at some stage before the start.

Personally I don't think Mr Aston is doing owt wrong, what does it matter as long as he hands in the team sheet about a hour before kick off, it's espionage , it's a Rugby game, cmon John John, have a quiet word with yourself, you will calling for Judge Jeffrey next.

I agree with that and that is fair enough. I just fail to see a point to the 19 man squad named two days in advance.

To be fair, you mentioned a team with a 30 man squad saying why couldn't they be picked from that on the day.
The essence of most sports is that enough time is allowed to enable apposing coaches to organise a game plan based on the published squads.
It seems to me very unfair if a team has 30 squad members and the opposition perhaps have a lot less.
Publishing squads (in my very humble opinion) is the fairest way to go about it.
