| Just got back having watched our best 80mins of the season to date. Back to back Champioship winners Sheffield were taken to the cleaners by a much more enthusiastic and clinical Fax side. Great forward platform set, mixed with some clever offloads and 'centres ' that can draw a man and pass!Backed up by some mean defence at times.Got penalised to death in last 5 mins but it was all over by then.
We are by no means the finished article yet but confidence in sport is a key factor and we are, at last, playing with some!
Crowd given out as 900+.
Fax team talk at half time form KH was held, outside, in the derelict stand in a corner of the ground! Not the facilities I would expect from the current champions I'm afraid.(they won't be retaining that title if that is the best they can do with all their key stars playing-clearly a side lacking confidence at the moment!)

| Well impressed today. Thought the ref kept them in the game today but keep this up and 2nd spot could be ours. Bankers Draught Sheffield, Everards Original 5.2% Mmm! Bentleyman, unusually for him, is partaking of a mild! Milestone Sherwood 5.6% Mmm!

| Best performance of the season so far and pretty much beat Sheffield convincingly in all aspects of the game.
We also played some really good rugby and its like there has been a total change in tactics as players are now offloading in tackles and taking risks and it makes for a much more entertaining spectacle to watch but also makes us pretty hard to play against. I hope this continues.
I thought the backs went really well, It was good to have Robbo back and he had a good game as a makeshift centre and Casey also had a really good game so maybe he can put his hand up to make the other centre spot his own with Tyrer on the other side. Saxton was Saxton, we got so lucky with fev not wanting him. I thought Fox had his best game yet after looking out of sorts and taking time to settle in. Fieldhouse showed why he should be offered another contract with another good performance although he will be disappointed with his tackle on QLT but with the right coaching he can only get better and better.
We look good with 2 half backs and Murrell at 13 but most of us knew we would to be fair and its good to see Brown getting a fair crack of the whip now.
Forwards dominated their Sheffield counterparts and they really had little answer and we actually had a offload game from the forwards which led to some exciting second phase for a change.
We just need to keep picking up the points now because that 2nd place is certainly back on especially if Fev do have to offload players to keep to certain financial restraints.

Couldn't have put it any better.
At last the shackles are off and the lads are being allowed to play, much better at 6,7,13 and 1 because of it and our pack are so much better when keeping the ball alive which adds to the grunt.
Still a long way to go so need to keep our heads but if we play like this we have as good a chance as anybody

| Great effort today from all the lads in blue and white, best performance of the season. The Eagles are a shadow of the past 3 years teams but still have some quality players but we bossed them and the score line flattered them tbh
Some nice rugby again today what we have been crying out for all season it was terrific, good passing offloading and backing up, keep it going lads lets kick on now and see where it gets us, we should get top 4 now surely?.

That was the day of the "Fozzard dance"
It goes like this, you get slammed to the floor jump in the air three or four times and then s::t yourself for the rest of the game.

| Very similar to SB in that he went around the pitch throwing his weight around until somebody half his size floored him.

He went up in my estimation that day. Lets face it he got battered whenever he took the ball up and it ended with the dance after i think it was Jim Gannon got injured which he later said he was a bit ashamed of acting like that but that takes some guts to keep taking the ball in and its common to see a lot of props go hiding after getting smashed but credit to Fozzard he didnt stop coming.
