Quote Norman Bates="Norman Bates"The real overspend issue is what will happen if teams breach the salary cap. Will the money they get for potentially finishing in the top 2 be taken away, will they be deducted points?
Who knows as the RFL won't know what rules they will be working with until they make them up.
As per Barra, guilty of loads but did we get anything from their breaches?'"
Yep could happen but there is the allowance to spend more within the cap if they have a certain turnover, is over 1 million?
The thought I got was that some clubs might be spending more than they actually had in the bank now to get the first and second place so even if they did get the extra cash some of it had already been spent, then what.
It's gambling on success, which demands more success etc etc.
Each next step on the progress ladder is even bigger and they would have to do it again but with more and more money involved each time and the first time it doesn't work out they could be in debt.
I just get the feeling Fax are staying within there current means trying to get the funding right and be competitive but taking stock, having a look at how things pan out but are not prepared to gamble.
It would seem as far as TA is concerned the commitment is still there there's still life in the Fax.
