Griff, Its also worth pointing out that if sheffield actually took some fans ( a reasonable amount ) when they got to finals then there would be more money in the pot, Perhaps this is a reason its also been voted on by the championship clubs. So they are not too reliant on who gets to the final, IE Fev, leigh, fax etc all bring the most fans and increase the gate.

I think it was picked for its excellent public transport links & the variety of things to do near the ground

I would think that reagrdless of Fax being there the walkup crowd should give it a boost. if we are there hopefully more of the 'missing millions' will return for a one-off on their doorstep and if we aren't there then quite a few Fax fans will come along to support the day.
Should be a win-win butthe parking round my house will be rubbish unless I only have to put up with the Seagulls taxi(might be a mini-bus these days).

I think it's a great idea & stuff the SL clubs & footy grounds, they've had enough of our money over the years. I'd love to see a packed out Shat stadium but i doubt it more's the shame. I certainly hope we reach & win the final and unless am sulking if we don't get through i'll probably attend as a neutral if we don't make it.
Sort of makes me a little bit proud, 'cos we've got fantastic facilities at our community stadium nowadays. Well done to all concerned, Calderdale council DO NOT LET US DOWN for the NRC final or the world cup game.
