Oh I agree Nat. But where I was sat I didnt hear that from the fax fans, but couldnt miss the one i mentioned as it was en-mass (obviously planned).

I am not naive and I do know that I cant shield my granddaughter from language, especially taking her to rugby matches (no doubt she'll hear more at school as well

), but it was the en-mass that made it stand out so much!!

When we went to Featherstone last year, we sat amongst their fans and whilst they were passionate and vocal, we didnt hear that co-ordinated nastyness, but then I guess we did pinch the title off them last season

Ultimately it was just banter, no doubt Fax will have something prepared for the return league fixture hopefully something more than 'oh hali hali hali hali hali halifax' every now and again

Think we should be glad and applauded that banter was the worst thing that happened last night

I have to admitt I saw quite a lot of Fev fans at the top of their section usuing the 'come on then' gesture throughout the game.

However!

I was in the middle of the South Stand and could not see towards the back, so I can judge what our fans were doing...

What Fev need is a football club to attract all the morons who are just there to start trouble

Reading everything in this thread, I can't believe you're of the attitude that it's a football thing & doesn't happen in rugby.

I understand banter and enjoy it BUT for me Fev were appalling last night. They again were goading, being intimidating and aggressive full stop. They should in my humble opinion been respectful that it was a low life representing there village that caused serious injury to an innocent fan. I've stood in many rugby grounds and been subjected to "banter" but for me constantly gesticulating with a clenched fist, 2 fingered salutes and the w@nker sign constantly together with the hilarious chant of W@nki Fax summed it up. RFF if you can condone what I heard and saw as normal I must have watched rugby for the last 30 Plus years with my blinkers on! Agreed we all have elements of idiots but it was collective last night and lacked in my opinion respect for a fan and need I say a club this event badly effected. I just think Fev fans were disgusting last night and if it was my club I would have been ashamed.

Excellent post, someone finally gets to the main point. A lot of what went on last night may have been passed over in the past. RFF comes across as a really good guy and a top bloke. But it is the people that acted like they did that need to be addressed by the good contingent and make them realise that in the contextt of what had happened it was highly inappropriate.

Like has been said on here, and the reason I have not gone down this route is that the tit-for-tat circle goes on and solves nowt - but the stick your f*__in flat caps up your @r_se wasn't out of Keats or Wordsworth was it?? On walking out of the grounds we got the preverbial kuwaiti tanker signs, the v's etc from some (younger) fax fans! I don't particularly condone it but if you believe Fax fans are not guilty of it (en masse as Nat suggested earleir) then you're blinkered or deluded! It happens, it always has done - BY ALL CLUBS!! The vitriol from some of the fax fans was equal to that you describe. Recounting it on here or debating in circles on here with me solves nowt.
As for the respect thing you attempt to heap my/our way. - I hope Dave recovers and I hope the mattered is resolved and quickly, though I doubt it will. But I have done nor said anything wrong to anybody - ever - and I refuse to be made to feel guilty about it by you or anyone else!
Your analysis of last nights crowd lacks a good deal of analysis, a considerable amount of bias and needless emotive comment.
