That was the Courier that got it wrong. He only ever signed a one year deal. |

I wasnt even a rugby fan when Gannon played for us last time so i will reserve judgement till the season starts.
saw him a couple of times on sky games, still didnt know what to make of him.
he's experianced at a high level which will be good.

Quality signing for me but then I might be a little biased.
A no-nonsense prop who will literally turn in hundreds and hundreds of tackles. The kind of player everyone who plays with appreciated the hell out of because they take up some much of the defensive strain...

Exactly the same here. But from the other comments it seems reasonably positive. For me now we just need to bring in another young prop/sr from SL and we're done in the forwards.  |

I personally think that Matt and Martin have got this right for a one year deal. We all know that we are weak in defence and Gannon will help in this area as well as offering invaluable experience to Cherry, Dom and Sam (if he stays).

Think it`s a one year deal `cos he`s off back to OZ unless of course he has a stormer of a season and we persuade him to stay for one more year.  |

From an outsider looking in, he's a decent signing. Not the best or flashiest prop around, but as I was saying to a friend yesterday, every side needs an experienced 'enforcer' to give a pack some extra bite. Gannon will certainly provide that for you. A no brainer for Fax really - experienced, locally based player (no travelling expenses), who still has something to offer on the field.
