| To be honest away wins will be difficult to come by for everyone in this league with the restraints on travelling being one of my concerns for part-time players/squads.
Barrow, 'Haven, Gateshead, Tolouse.

I agree, Barrow were dissapointing. They set their stall out very early by attacking Ben Black, a tactic they kept going for most of the game.
Fair play to them last night and well done, but I still dont fear going there. My only worry is it is in Cumbria and we dont seem to play too well in cumbria (Whitehaven), but it could be far enough away from the radioactive air to not bother us.

Thank you, we will. Yes it may be a tough trip up Cumbria, like it always is but realistically if we got Barrow at home everybody would be very suprised if we wernt in the draw for the next round right? Its not that you are a bad side by any means. Its just that we are a lot better.

Widnes were the team doing all the slowing down at the play the ball and were doing the niggling (because they were geting panned in the tackle) Any infringements were punished by the ref but Widnes' poor FULL TIME side are not good enough to capitalise. Widnes are lacking in the forwards, James Webster had a shocker and our back line ran them ragged all night.
Liam Harrison ran Kohe-Love ragged all night - One of their stronger defenders ?? Although Windes looked a step quicker Barrow were just far to strong and overpowered Widnes. I never saw the constant niggling or head hunting you talk about.
Like ive said - Don't look to deep into your win or judge Barrow by 1 game. Lets wait until the end of the season.
Good luck for the remainder of the season - I look forward to some good games against you

You lot giving Gaz Broadbent was a complete waste of time to - He is by far the best full back outside Super League and would get in any team in The Championship.'"

| Quote Haighy="Haighy"Seems Widnes backed down to Barrows blatant spoiling and bully boy tactics.
Wonder how many of the 12 points were of actual rugby playing points

Barrows 2 tries were both scored off the back of some prolonged pressure. Both excellent tries.

Nah mate im thinking clearly
Obviously you boys are the team to beat this year having spent umpteen years trying to get out of NL1 So for this reason you have the experience as a squad over Barrow. On paper you should win but your over confidence about how this season will pan out somewhat pleases me because you are under estimating Barrow already.
Like iv'e said i am looking forward to some good matches between the 2 clubs (hopefully the first being the NRC final )

| "Ran ragged" is mentioned a lot for a team scoring two tries?
Still a good win for Barrow.

| Quote Fax4Life="Fax4Life"It would be a tradegy if we get Widnes away.
Come on does the game never learn, the top two of each group should have been seeded, Widnes will finish second if they win at Barrow and we could draw each other!
Last year we had the most one sided Final ever with Donny getting there.
What benefit do you have for doing well in your group (other than qualifying)? - Nowt.
I would like York away, nice trip and very winnable game, next would be Oldham away.
Other than that anybody at home.
I bet the boffins want a Fax v Widnes Final - I would just love us to get to a Final.'"
Why would the "boffins" want a Widnes V Fax final, what have these two teams got that is so much better than the other teams.Widnes for one have been far from impressive this year.
You must stop believing your own press I am confident that both these teams will lose to the other teams this season and no way are they head and shoulders above the rest.
Please stop underestimating other teams it will only end in tears.

| Agree with Twitch. I can see us losing a couple of games as will Widnes. I think Barrow, Haven , Toulouse and maybe Gateshead will be the graveyard for many teams.
Halifax are part time with no reserves-Will that bite us?
Widnes seem to have internal problems and the team has not gelled yet-Will that continue?
Leigh, Haven, Fev, Toulouse and Barrow will be looking to upset Fax and especially Widnes at any given chance and all teams will lift themselves for these two. However Widnes and Fax have strength in depth which Barrow, Fev, Haven and Leigh do not. They may have some unknowns who turn out as good players but they do not have the experience and guile that Fax and Widnes have.
Its why this League for me is the best as there is no one team that really stands out and anybody in NL1 can beat the other especially in their home games. Its just a shame more people do not watch these games as its way better than watching Leeds and Saints run away with things in SL!
