Can I make a suggestion?
I was in Leeds the other day and saw a Rhinos fan with a polo top which looked like a replica of the home shirt.
Looked good it had all the logos on and everything and I would buy one if we had one as it can be worn casual, gived people something to buy if they alreday have the shirt, how about it Malcolm?

I have had a look at the leeds online shop and its very good, all products available are all leeds logod and made by the same company that makes the shirt. This is the way to go when we open our new shop in the new stand, it will have some continuity.
Leeds have got it right and we can learn from the clubs that have a good off the field business. All clothing is and proparbly will be worn by the players at some point and thats all the supporter want, they see the players wearing it and therefore may be inclined to buy it. Its Team wear.

We have done the best we can with the limited shop that we have and they must be patted on the back, however we do need improve and hopefully with the new shop we can have a new start. Look and see what other clubs offer and do something similar.

I don't think the limited shop space is as much of a problem as the limited number of fans.

I think there may be a minimum order quantity that the suppliers will be asking for and if you want more than one style of shirt/jacket/vest/pole, that's when the problem of cashflow pops up.

IMO we aren't seen as a big enough club these days to be able to call the shots with the suppliers.

I was more referring to the lack of space, things cant displayed to the best or have space to walk around and therefore an uninspiring place where people tend not to look around to see whats new. I have to admit i have only been in the shop once and that was recently, due to getting my shirts for christmas, it just has never drawn me in.

I understand everything you said regarding min orders/cashflow etc... and it is a problem with every small retailer, having been involved in a small retail shop for the past 17 years.

We do need more supporters that may buy stuff from the shop, and with things that are happening with regard to the offers and season ticket sales maybe thing are looking up.

The shop if promoted right (ie opening times and open more often) should also attract passing trade.

Called in today and got my lads their shirts ready for getting the 2010 squad autographs on them.

Mike showed us some pictures that they had done to present to the players. They look like paintings of the players but are actually converted from photos Mike has taken during the season. Some are signed by the players and there is a large one with all the players depicted on it.

They looked really good and would be good chrissy presents to give to us keen fans. I think he was taking some up to Harveys to see if they could display them as well.

Just a thought Mike,if you read this, could the images be tranferred onto a t-shirt, I bet they would go down a storm.

The shop is usually open on a Saturday morning 10-00 to 12-00 but you can get a shirt at Harveys.

If you call in at the office they are usually more than willing to open up the shop and help you out. The official time is 10 til 12 on Saturday mornings.

That'd be a great idea, with name and number on the back. I'd definitely have one!
