Other than Bringing in Kear and Ben Black, the bulk of their signings are youngsters, a few from the league below, couple from wakey's academy, they'll either go really well, or they won't be upto it.'"
Wont get shot by me mate , I agree with you , Black was happy to fit into our wage structure , and the others are ones John thinks will do well for us , we will just have to wait and see if they work , but we have the majority of our squad from last year signed , so we should do ok

Not only that Robin at the Eagles v Fax game that you went to when Barlow was out for the count and had his bamby legs moment everyone including you and the Fev fans gave some applause when he got up.
Well at least one clap from you

The game is hard enough as it is! I'm not Sam Barlow's greatest admirer (not that he will give a toss either way), but he puts a RL shirt on for our entertainment. I don't like seeing any player get hurt playing the sport I love so much. Any player deserves some appreciation in those circumstances!

Not an acceptable comment on any level and while it,s easy to pretend that this was a joke then the next time you see violence off the field ask yourself if this kind of thing helps.
If the comments attributed to KH are correct then that is even more worrying from a so called pro.
its an opinion and who agrees with it either Fev OR fAX FANS makes no difference to me ..some years ago I saw an 21 yr old suffer a life changing injury that has stayed with him for 40 yrs due to the kind of mentality above. What makes me laugh at the "Get into em" merchants and the rest, I can bet 8 out of ten have never played the game at any level or have the guts to do so.
So the next time anyone is asking someone to "beat em up" ask yourself if it were your son/daughter on or off the field would you feel so smug about it.. I guess not..

| Cushy, I played far more union than league - it was easier. The reason I'm currently bored rigid at home with my leg in plaster is directly related to a really bad injury involved in a game in ponty in 1986!
I'm happy to shout "crucify the little b'stard" when Ben Black was running into Tonka as he danced round every other player v Fev.
I'm happy to rip the mick out of sam barlow and urge Stu to "melt him" whenever the opportunity presents.
I can assure you that I don't wish to see anyone hurt! Ever! I don't see inciteful in the least - we've all said similar - ok, most of us have said similar!!!
We may have to disagree on this one mate!

Look if you want to use the SL term of ' Winning the arm wrestle ' , then fine , we'll all stick to ' Beating them up down the middle ' a term that belongs to real RL

Get a grip man, KH is hardly going say beat them up meaning mass brawls is he, you have taken everything on this thread out of context. Phil the Power Taylor always says in his interview he will just have to beat them up and get the job done but you dont see him headbutting opponents on t.v do you.
Stop making a mountain out of a molehill and go and check on your canaries will ya.

Why the hell do you watch such a brutal sport then? Have you even played the game? I have played the game at various level including playing reserve grade and played at venues from Crigglestone through to Headingley. I have also played outside of the UK. If you arent going to be physical (obviously within the rules) then you will struggle. The game is hard and a team needs to be physically and mentally tough. A pack needs to be physical beat up the oppossing pack of forwards. Hit them as hard as possible in the tackle. Hit them as hard as possible when running with the ball. Sometimes a fight happens and a team or player will react and defend himself. Its part of the game within reason. You clearly have no idea on Rugby League and what tactics are required. Rugby League is known "As the toughest team sport in the world" and for a good reason. Nobody wants to see a player get hurt but it happens and often its a serious injury like broken bones or worse. I suggest you need to get a grip and maybe choose another sport to watch like Wendyball or Touch Rugby as clearly a physical Sport like Rugby League upsets you too much.

A couple of final thoughts on this.
First, considering the world in which we live in then to avoid any reference to violence real or staged you would not be able to read a newspaper, turn on the tv to watch the news a film or even a cartoon, play a video game or use the internet.
Even existing today you are exposed to it all the time, with the situations mentioned above it is repeated over and over again to audiences world wide with no comments against it.
In comparison to the above a coach in rugby league termanology and someone on a RL forum both with no malicious intent whatsoever with an audience measured at best in double figures and there is this response.
In this context does it merit it??
Secondly, if someone makes a statement even if it is to provoke which this wasn't, which is worse the one who makes the statement in the first place or the one who reacts to it.
Both play a part in the escalation and if it turns nasty who is to blame.
I guess it amounts to if we feel so strongly against promoting any kind of violence then avoid overeacting otherwise are we not adding petrol to the fire that we claim to hate.
Quotes can be damaging but misquotes can be worse.
