| Should be a good game for our fringe players to show what they can do, and I don't mean the under 21's as we don't have a second team.

Do Siddal get 1500 fans a week? Nope, FC Halifax Town do.
Pub team we are not; the biggest club outside the conference, we are.
If we want to start with calling FC Halifax Town a pub team,
Halifax RLFC could always go play on Halifax RUFC's pitch if you want.
I thought we had got over the slating of Halifax Town on here, but obviously not.
=blue[iSorry, but I had to insert punctuation and capital letters into your post as it was seriously hurting my eyes in trying to read what you had to say. TS.[/i

| The football lot have had crowds of 700 or so as well as 1500. Siddal for a game against Swinton could get 700 or 800. Depending who Town play Siddal could get more to the Swinton game.
For this game against the Uni maybe Fax could use Ovenden Park-Not sure what it holds as likely a crowd over 1000 is probably not going to happen but who knows.
Halifax Town is not much better than a Pub team to be honest. The League they play in is often teams from big villages and small towns. FC Halifax Town is less than a year old and there are teams bigger than them-Newport County have played in Europe and have had crowds of 2500 this year. AFC Wimbledon in Conference South average over 3000 in 2008-09.

| we are not a pub team.
for a home game this season we have not had a home gate this season i dont believe cant find the information to back it up but i dont think we have had a home gate less than 1,000 this season.
the away games we have created a season hight crowd for every team we have visited this season.
we are playing in this league for 1 year if we ge promotion through the play offs at the end of it.
why are halifax and rugby fans slating each other we should be working together to help each other.
but all we see to do is row about what is right and wrong.
i think fc halifax town are at home the day before the challenge cup match but who cares we were here first anyway.

No you weren't, FC Halifax Town became Tenants of The Shay in 2008.
Biggest team outside the Conference? If Halifax Town was managed properly they'd still be in the Blue Square Premier.
Both clubs need each other for The Stadium to be viable, thats about it.

| we didnt have people that ran our club properly from wilder to the long takeover of the club.
we need each other yes but we are taking swipes at each other at any opportunity.
can we please settle this and get back to supporting the cause of both clubs and wishing both clubs well throughout the season.

At the moment Durham are top and Town are playing well some weeks and then crap others-hardly great form

I could not give a stuff about FC Halifax Town (or Halifax Rugby Union). If they struggle so what. If they do well I also could not give a stuff. Just because they come from Halifax does not mean I support them in any way shape or form. Both Sports I have absolutely no interest in and think they are overhyped to hell.
Why should I help FC Halifax Town or any other Sports team I have no interest in?
I looked on the Unibond Website and Town have the following crowds
LEAGUE-Usually around 1100 but did have 2 games with crowds of
v Warrington Tn 778
v Rossendale 954
UNIBOND LEAGUE CUP
v Retford Att 254
v Sheffield FC Att 382
I would say certainly Siddal could beat the crowds of the 2 Cup games, but possibly get more than 778 than Town got for the game against Warrington as well. And why I said what I did rather than having a go at Town for no reason.

| i dont care too much whether you like fc halifax town or not we are a good team and a good squad we can win the play offs no problem durham will lose eventually probably to us when we play them again.
those unibond leaugue cup matches where the really low crowds come are not really to be counted because we couldnt care less about these competitions and the league games with those crowds would be mid week games and most lower league clubs get lower crowds for midweek games.

I agree...
I dont follow football at all and I couldnt even tell you what league FC Halifax is in and who they play. But that said I bear them no malice whatsoever and they like us rent the ground off of the owners, so they are our ground share partners.
There are just a small minority that like to have a go at the other club, which is shown by the messages on this board, but they really do need to take it elsewhere.
Whatever league they are in I wish them well.
