| That's 3 bonus points we've given away now. It's a frustrating idea but we need to learn to close the game and the bonus points down.

Giveing bonus points away don't hurt us. It's loseing games that do .I hope we give a bonus point away in EVERY game this season.

| Giving away bonus points doesn't really concern us. If we won every game 10-nil & won all three comps would we be bothered ?

| I agree the excitement on the terraces has gone, the crowd is dwindling! We have gone ten years back, this team could not come close to drawing with Castleford and to me that's our benchmark, but under Harrison I can honestly say Halifax are as dull as dish water to watch and it hurts me to say it!!! For all Callands faults at least it was exciting and unpredictable. Lets see how we get on against Batley!!

Good on yer mate, from all Batley fans.

| Re: The Bonus Point debate
There are no Bonus points for winning, if there was and we weren't achieving them I'd be a little upset, but as long as we leave a game with 3 points I dont care if the opponent get one or not.
This time of year the rugby is never pretty, we didn't start too well last year either, with last play wins at London and York.
Harrison doesn't coach the fast flowing unpredictable "we'll score one more than you" Rugby that we saw under Calland, but he does win games.

| I am with Brew on this one. I am happy with a win and not having unpredictable games from the Calland era. Those days are gone.
Handforth at hooker did spice it up and take control. May be dropping Thacks and Craig Ashall might wake them both up! A fit Craig Cook will control the hooking role with Karl Ashall learning.
Moving Craig back to Loose with Murrell at Stand Off? Handforth at Scrum half, exactly what he did at Batley?

| Dear oh dear! only 4 wins from 4? shocking stuff.
Or....
Its February for gawds sake! its bleeding awful weather and pitches, and i for one think were playing the conditions very well and playing to our strengths, which incidently have served the previous two comp winners quite well.

| Lets look at the rlLeague Tablerl
Only us and Fev are not unbeaten after 4 rounds.
We have the 3rd best number of points conceded. (52) Behind Batley (37) and Dewsbury (50). Fev are just behind us with 56.
Fev have scored the most points (154). The teams in positions 3-6 have scored between 102 and 110. We have scored 86, which while it is less than anyone else in the top 6, is more than any other team outside of the top 6.
I'd also suggest that the teams making up the current top 6 wont change now, but positions 7&8 for the playoffs give the other 8 teams something to play for
On current form, Batley away on Thursday will be another tight game, we're not getting high scores and they're defending well. But i'll happily take a win by a Drop Goal if thats what it takes. One things for sure though, we have to convert better than we did against Keighley the other week. as every point will count!

| But Fev are leathering sides in the first half of games & easing off in the second half when games are already won. Look at the column in the league table that comes under the heading "points difference", that also is more than critical come the final run in. Having not gone to any of our away games so far & won't be able to make Batley on thursday I guess i'm in no position to really pass judgement on performances but we do appear to be starting slowly in games.
I noticed a few Fev players not getting in their team at the moment in Mick Haley, Tim Spears & Sam Smeaton to name a few due to injuries yet they seem unaffected by their losses & have recruited very well, they have started the season ominously.
I hope we can win at Batley otherwise i'm gonna begin to question why we're not putting sides away & I don't disrespect any team in this league either.

My thoughts exactly. 4 wins out of 4 in poor conditions is brilliant, the conditions are exactly the same for the opposition.
Although Callands Halifax sides was always very exciting, they was also very unpredictable.
Boring rugby, but still unbeaten... no one can knock that.

Whilst winning 4 from 4 is great the other side is that we need to bring in the crowds, winning with nobody watching is not going to make the club sustainable so win all our games but go bust due to financial issues. Crowds have dropped from around 2,300 to under 2000, hopefully better weather will make a difference.

| Heres my two penneth, we are 4 from 4, im happy with that, yes its not the most exciting rugby but so far its getting results, well wins, I wouldnt say ive left a game this season impressed yet. Last season we struggled against all the top teams. I think after winning the final we didnt beat a top 4 team all season, not sure if this is correct but think it is.
So I'll see how we go against top opposition before making a judgement. If our style works against the top teams and we compete then im happy to grind out wins the way we are. If our style only gets results against teams ( no offence) who wont be around the top 4/5 but isnt getting us wins or close in the so called big games then yea I can see a problem. I'll put up with this style of rugby if it makes us competitive against teams in the race for cups etc.
If its like last season and with the exception of the final we dont get wins from top teams then our style of play might affect the crowds. Lets be honest so far we've ground out wins. Thursday will tell us a lot more I suspect and give us a clue as to where we are at.

| Batley on Thursday will be a much higher intensity effort.
The coaching staff of both clubs will know it's an important fixture that could really kick them on.
The players from both clubs will know it's going to be a tough game and should be ready for it mentally.
I predict a massive encounter where anything could happen.
Light the blue touch paper comes to mind.
Who will come out on top after the collision????
Can't wait allready, I don't think this one will be boring.

| We didn't come out of the big scrap at their place too shabby last season i don't think. We let them get the win when we'd made a winning position for ourselves. This doggies lot need turning over.
