| Quote: ronniebarker "How do the board persuade people that want a day out come down the Shay with their outrageous prices on the day?
Attendances are down 300 or 400. I believe this figure still don't want advance tickets as they may want to do something else with their Sundays.
Watching Halifax doesn't become an option as it is just too expensive to watch Championship Rugby League.
The pre-pay policy isn't working. Only for the die-hards.
Will the board hold their hands up and say they got it wrong?'" To save a few quid on bank charges-total false economy. Also the bar saving 2 stewards with no access...the 2 boneheads are still there guarding a locked door....!

| I would agree that this policy is costing Fax fans on the day. It needs binning. Also agree with Beaujangles regarding the two "stewards" in't supporters bar, what a waste of time and money.

Bigger City, still clinging on to what's left of their Super League fan base.
Huddersfield Giants struggle to attract walk ups, even when they won the LLS. they're home support is capped at around 4,000-4,500 home fans.
I don't know what the corporate side involves though. It seems directors appear to treat this revenue stream as priority.

| I do agree that just walk ups should be encouraged rather than not . I used to have a season ticket but don't currently . The money isn't particularly the issue its the thought of having to pre go to get tickets puts me off the current system so basically I end up just not going. I am all for change and no doubt there is a benefit that some people pre buy that just wouldn't come on the day because of whatever. I probably just need something more to encourage me to spend the time and effort pre buying. A new Aussie Halfback that runs at defenders might do it!!

| If moneys not the issue,do like me and pay the xtra £2 at turnstyle and avoid all the fannying around with tickets/online etc.We need as many as poss in attendace. When the premium for cash is £5 like Oldham, staying away is totally justified and the decision makers are out of touch.

| I have posted this before, i dont see an issue buying online and picking tickets up not much fannying around in my eyes.
I can see it seems a bit more hassle and may put walkups off.
Not sure on the reasons for it but someone must think its ok.
1500 for the London game didn't seem too bad considering they would have only brought a car load

| It would have had to have been a big car that London came up in. Fifty five was the number, we check each game. Plus we were all in the East Stand because we got fed up with your moronic fans in the South Stand throwing things at us, not just abuse.
Five hundred and thirty six miles I did on Sunday, spending best part of ten hours on the road. No complaints because it is what I choose to do.
It has to be said we do not see hoards of your fans when you play us at Trailfinders.

Shame about that as it's normally friendly banter(fev apart)in South and there were a crowd of cocknees in East and had a good chat with a Spurs fan.Don't need grief when you travel all that way(i've got 620 miles to Torquay tomorrow).

On a "like for like" basis attendances have actually gone up.
Like for like:
Sheffield - This season Over 1,500. Last season 1,241
London - This season 1,595. Last season 1,298
Comparing other matches:
Leigh (relegated) - 2,119. Hull KR (promoted) - 2,876. KR brought loads more in a crucial match so about right
Toronto (promoted) - 2,036. Bradford (relegated) - 3,142. Bradford brought more than a thousand so about right
Barrow (promoted) - 1,298. Oldham (relegated) - 1,364.
Last season Swinton attracted 1,501 so let's see how this Sunday goes.

A lot of the kids amateur clubs & families on freebies seem to be there every game, and ST sales have been higher this year.
It would be interesting how many pre-pay & pay on day compared to last season.
ie. Money being banked after a match, up or down?

| Fanny about pre booking ....missed the deadline ....walk up and pay extra.ie get ripped off .....or get the lawnmower going .....the sun just popped out.......the garden just edged the decision ....sad but reality is .....it cost nothing and by the end of today it will look good and I can justify a glass of red this evening with the smell of themuch needed first grass cut of the year....hopefully then look on here at a fax win. Good luck fax go and get 2 points. Years ago I would not have missed but times and priorities change.

| Well, sneaked a win at home against the bottom club sounds like I don't miss much but a tense finish so well done on 2 points they could have lost. Noticed the poor points difference on the table . We look to be down on points scored again. Fancy a win at Dewsbury but can't say I am confident at Batley who turned over Les French. Who Knows though I see . " the ginger winner " popped up again I see. High hopes for the lad considering he is still growing into his body at this stage and he looks to have potential .
