I think you're picking holes here. You know as well as me you it was £25 last year and now £10 this year think it's pretty clear myself.

Is it a reduction?
Let me think?
Was £25 now £10
Will have to ponder that one.

Well it's difficult,
But I think I have worked it out.
It is lower than last year therefore a reduction,
BUT chips went up by 5p this year.
Is that inflation?

Last season it was £25.00 this season it is £10.00 and no, it doesn't include membership to the trust as i do believe the trust board voted against it.

Did the trust board vote against the reduction in price or having (potentially 500) names on the home shirt?

It was a novel idea when the club brought it out and raised much needed funds, however I'm sure the club would get the same people to sign up to the concept if those names were placed on the away jersey. The club would also maximise sales on the home shirt as I'm sure that many people (like myself) are put off buying a shirt with all those names on it, however well intentioned.

I'd urge the club to return to the classic 'name free' Halifax hoops we all love and put the names on the away jersey. I'm sure if we do that we'll sell more shirts at £45.00 (ish) a pop and they'd still have people queuing to pay their £10.00.

C'mon Mr Croad you know it makes sense....

Names on any shirt is, IMO, a bad idea. I have bought any new home and away shirt for as long I can remember (over 20 years); but I wont bother next year. I didn't have a strong opinion last year, but having seen the result...

No new away shirt for next year - so home shirt was the only option. The names will look for sympathetic to the design according to Ian.

How can you judge a shirt which you haven't even seen? The BOD aren't daft and have already said the design with the names will look a lot better.

No. I've paid my cash for mine and my granddaughters name on. It needs to be on the home shirt. Last season they were around the bottom of the shirt, they are in a pale grey and dint detract from the main design of the shirt.

I am all for iniatives that raise money for the club; I have contributed to many and will continue to do so;

I am sorry but the shirt with the names on it looks complete bobbins; ( feel free to disagree, we are all entitled to our opinions ) thats why I consider it to be a bad idea and why I wouldn't want to purchase a shirt with names on; an alternative, but the production cost would probably prohibit it, is to have an 18th Man Shirt, this would be the standard design with the names worked in; that gives the supporters the choice when buying replicas;

The club have had money from me since the early 80's; and once I was working, they have had season tickets and the replica shirts each year for over 20 years; some years I have bought the shirt blindly whether I (really) liked it or not... safe in the knowledge that it would bump up the money coming into the club; However I really dont like the names thing, it looks naff, and so I wont buy next years shirt. Thats my reasoning.
